Chapter 21: A silly mistake!

"Why didn't you join our team?" Rohan asked. He sounded upset.
Why didn't I join their team?

"Anna and Aarav could have been together." Rohan himself spoke, getting irritated with my silence. It was the first time he talked to me in that way.

Shit!!! How could I be that stupid? I was so busy thinking about myself, I forgot about Anna and Aarav. I should have chose to be in Rohan's team. My stupid decision would affect Anna and Aarav's relationship. I was so stupid to take that silly dream seriously.

"Sorry." I turned to Rohan.
"Leave it now." He tried to comfort me. Maybe he noticed the guilt in my eyes.
"I'm so sorry." I again said, cause I realized the stupid thing I did.
I regretted my decision.
"It's okay! You just took it professionally. It's better to keep our private and personal life separate." Rohan held my hands and tried to calm me. Maybe he regretted talking rudely. His eyes were so sorry. The guy who was scolding me few minutes ago was handling me so well.

"Guys! The food is here." Nikki called us. Both of us nodded together.
"I'll talk to Nikki." I said.
"I'll come with you." Rohan smiled.
And all of us joined our team.

"Nikki! I've something to talk about." I told Nikki.
"Nothing about work while eating." Nikki blinked.
And all us ate talking about various things.

After our meal, we relaxed. We had a break of one hour and half an hour was still left.
"Nikki once come with me." I called Nikki. She was talking about a series with Aarav. And She followed me.

"All okay?" Nikki asked, noticing my tensed face.
"Can Anna and I swap teams?" I asked hopefully.
"I'm afraid! I've already submitted the list to Mr. Shakya." Nikki replied.
"Can't we ask him?" I asked again.
"No! He's a different person when it comes to work. He'll suggest to keep personal and private life different." Nikki explained.
"No worries." I smiled.
"We'll help them in different ways." Nikki tried to comfort me.
"Thank you." I said and she joined others leaving me alone.

Moments later Rohan came to me and asked me if Nikki agreed.
I shook my head in disappointment.

"No worries. Leave this!" Rohan said,  comforting me.

And then all of us returned back to our cabin. All of us were busy on our own works. I was feeling so bad, I was cursing myself for choosing Aarav.

I looked at Rohan, he was lost in his work. He won't do anything stupid. He's a professional guy, and he takes me as a friend, only friend. I was stupid to take dreams seriously.

"All okay?" Anna asked. I guess I was staring at Rohan. I nodded and got back to work.

Hours later we all returned back to home. We had dinner on the way back to home as all of us were too tired to cook. We went to bed as soon as we reached. I slept with a pile of guilt inside me.

The next day I woke up first and prepared breakfast. I decided to start fresh, keeping personal and private life separate. But little did I knew life had already planned so many things.

"Good morning Siwii." Anna joined me in the kitchen.
I smiled at her and passed her the toast. I thought about apologizing to her but again I dropped the idea. Maybe I was over thinking.

"Any progress with Aarav?" I started the conversation.
"No! We haven't talked much since yesterday." She replied.
Within minutes rest of them joined us and we had breakfast. We just had normal conversation, mostly about work.

And then we left for office. The ride to office wasn't like the previous day. Rohan and Aarav were talking about a football match. And we girls about a series.
