Anna's POV:
I was more nervous than Aarav, yet I pretended to be normal. Aarav and his mom were in Aarav's room. All of us were in the living room.
"Is Aarav my own brother?" Aarya asked me, in an innocent way.
"He is." I nodded.
Aarya was just 12. Still she acted as a matured person. Her mom raised her really well.
"Anna! What are you hiding from me?" A loud voice echoed the hall. I was startled, so was Aarya. I got up. Aarav was standing in front of me. He looked really angry. Maybe his mom told him everything.
"Speak up!" He shouted. I had never seen him that angry.
"Aarav!" His mom tried to control him but he stopped her.
"Mom is saying I didn't come to the airport that day. What's going on?" Aarav turned to me.
"She's telling you the truth." I stammered.
"Can you please explain everything in detail cause nothing is making sense." Aarav was frustrated.
Why was he acting innocent? Of course he didn't come that day just because he wanted to perform with Alisha.
"Anna go on. It seems like he forgot everything." His mom calmly said and then I started.
The call from that unknown number was Aarav's mom's. Sumee Rushav Aarav and I were studying when I got her call.
"I'm Aarav's mom. Can we meet please?" She said as I picked up. I was shocked. I didn't believe her until she told me about Aarav's and mine relationship. I had no idea how she knew me.
She sent me the address and told me to meet her there. I wasn't sure whether to go or no. Then I decided to give it a go. I wanted to inform Aarav about that but she clearly told me not to tell Aarav anything. I texted my friends to continue the group study.
I took a cab and went to the address she sent. I had no idea what I was doing. I was scared but at the same time I wanted to meet her. She must had had a reason to meet me. Aarav was texting me continuously but I ignored it cause I sucked at lying.
As soon as I got out from the cab, a woman came to me. I recognized her. My Aarav inherited those beautiful eyes from his mom. But how did she recognize me? Plus how she got my number?
We greeted each other.
"It's so beautiful." She held my hand and touched the tattoo.
"Thank you." I smiled.
Then she took me inside the house. It was a beautiful house. I followed her in the living room. A big picture of Aarav was hung on the wall. There were other pictures as well but I was just focused on Aarav's.
"He was 4 years old." She broke the silence, as I was just staring at the picture. I gave her a comforting smile.
My Aarav was always that cute.
And below Aarav's picture there was a picture of a girl child. She looked familiar. Damn! She was the little girl we met in the Bandipur resort.
"Do y-o-u kno-w her?" I stammered.
"She's my daughter." She said.
I couldn't speak a word. Aarav met her still he had no idea who she was.
"How do you know me?" I finally asked.
"First I saw you guys in Bandipur resort. And later in the mall in Valentine's day." She made me sit.
"And?" I managed to say. Honestly I was blank.
"You are the girl my son loves. I just want to know about you." She said.
