Chapter 24: A Perfect Day

30 minutes passed! I was waiting for Anna in the college gate.

I called Rushav and told him to call Anna.

I was so worried. What if anything happened to her in the road. I was trapped by my thoughts.

"Aarav!!!" I heard.
I turned to the college building and saw Anna running towards me.
Was she in the class the whole time?

"I'm so sorry" She said breathing so hard.
"Breathe!" I rubbed her back.

"Rushav called me, I didn't knew you were waiting here." She said, catching her breathe.
I was blushing lol. I was so happy. I was smiling like an idiot.

"Aarav!!!" She shouted and brought me back to reality.
"Sumee said you were on the way." I replied.
"When she called I was on the way." She sighed.
"I'm sorry." She added cause I was quiet.

"Get ready for the punishment." I acted angry.
"Say." She said.
"Give me your number." I smirked.
"Is this even a punishment?" She laughed, taking phone from my hand. I was proud of myself.
And then both of us went to our own classes.

Rushav asked me if anything happened cause maybe I was blushing. I grinned.
Before I could tell him anything teacher arrived.

3 periods felt like 3 days. I barely focused on the class. Me and my friends went to Canteen after that. That day passed normally. Anna and I couldn't meet after college as my friends decided to go futsal.

A month passed following the same schedule.

We used to meet at the college. Sometimes in the break and sometimes after college. We used to chat everyday. Slowly chats turned into calls. And calls into video calls.

Talking to her became a habit. We used to tell each other how our day was, sometimes we used to study together through phone.

Then there came a day when we met each other's parents for the first time.

It was all unplanned. Saturday morning, I was preparing breakfast alone. Dad wasn't back from the gym.

I received a call from an unknown number. It was from The camera repair shop. They told me to pickup camera from their shop that day. The parts had to be imported so it took quite a long time.

I called Anna and asked her if she wanted to join me. She agreed. I wanted to take her because I wanted her to see that the camera was okay. I wanted her to stop feeling guilty.

"Let's have lunch together." Anna texted.
"Okay!" I replied.

Dad arrived in a bit. We had breakfast together. I told him about the camera. He just nodded.

I went to Anna's house to pick her. I called her as I reached outside her home but she didn't pick up.

For my surprise, Anna's dad opened the gate. I was confused about what to say. I had no idea if uncle even knew me.

"Hello Uncle." I greeted him.
"Hey Aarav! Please come in." He gave me a warm welcome.

Did he know me? Has Anna told him about me?

"You're here!" Anna joined us. Then he introduced me to his dad.

"I recognized him." Uncle said proudly.

Anna was in normal clothes which meant she wasn't ready. I don't know if it was her trick to let me in.

Uncle went inside leaving us alone. I parked my bike in the garden. Anna was standing by my side.
