Chapter 37: Near to END

One day Rushav Sumee Anna and I were in a video call. We were having a group study. Board exam was starting after few days.

Sumee was explaining a theory when Anna got a call from an unknown number. She ignored the call saying the theory was more important.

After 2 minutes that number called her again. That time she cut the video call and received the call from that unknown number. Sumee started to write something as Anna told her not to explain anything in her absence.

5 minutes passed, Anna wasn't back. Why was she taking so long? Who might have called her? I was curious.

*You guys continue. I've somewhere to go.* Anna sent a text in our group chat and within a minute she was offline.

Sumee started explaining other theories. I barely understood anything as I wasn't focused.

"Guys! Dad is calling me downstairs. You guys continue." I lied and cut the call. I didn't want to disturb their study.

I called Anna.

*The number you've dialed is busy* The robotic voice disappointed me.

*Babe I hope you are fine. Call me ASAP!!* I texted her.

One hour passed. Neither she called back nor she replied to my text.

I called her again. That time she didn't pick up. God I was worried.

Before I called her again she called me and said she was in her neighbor's house.

"Why?" I asked her.
"Cause she locked herself inside her room." Anna started laughing.
"And she was letting me find the key." She added.
"Oh" I replied.

She started apologizing for making me worry about her. And saying She'd call me once she returns home she hung up.

I was relieved. Then I started studying peacefully.

On the first day of exam. I picked Anna from her home. The morning breeze was very refreshing but  She was busy reciting the whole way, saying she forgot everything.

Anna and I were together in the exam hall. Both of us did well. Due to different exam hall we didn't met Sumee and Rushav.

"Babe I love you." She hugged me so
tightly when we reached outside her house.
"I love you Love." I smiled at her.
"Call me when you reach home." She said and before I could leave Anna's mom called me.

"Aarav come inside." Her mom said from the terrace.
"Let's go inside." Anna said holding my hand.

I parked the bike and went inside. Her mom asked us about our exam and both of us started telling her about it.

Her mom made snacks for us while we discussed the answers. After serving the snacks her mom went to the terrace saying she had to dry some clothes.

Anna took a step towards me and kissed me. I wasn't expecting that but I liked it. I kissed her back.

"Babe I love you more than anything." She said breaking our kiss.
"Someone's so romantic." I teased her.
"Promise me, you will never be mad at me." She said, she looked worried.
"Depends!" I smirked.
"Please." She said, eyes full of hope.
"Okay promise." I hugged her.

Finally the exam ended. As per our plan we four went to Bhaktapur. We were planning that since the first exam.

We parked our bikes outside Siddha Pokhari and went inside. It was a big pond. All of us sat on the bank. Anna and Sumee took out the snacks which they bought outside the exam center.
