Chapter 32: Mystery

"What's bothering you?" Dad asked me all of sudden.
"Um nothing dad." I gave him a weak smile.
"You're bad at hiding things." Dad kept the camera on the side and turned to me, giving me his all attention.

I couldn't say anything. Dad understood me without words.

"I think I love her.." I said without maintaining eye contact with him.
"Who her? Sumee?" Dad questioned sarcastically.
"Sumee is like a sister to me." I gave him a cruel look and he started laughing.

"Son, liking someone is not crime. You don't need to feel embarrassed." Dad said making me look into his eyes.
His eyes were telling me how proud he was of me.

"I love Anna." I said confidentiality and dad patted me on my back.

"My little boy is growing up." Dad smiled.

"What about her? Does she feel the same?" Dad asked.
"I'm not sure." I said nervously and told him everything that happened between Anna and me. Yeah, even the kiss. I told you I don't hide anything from dad.

Dad was listening to me with the big smile on his face.

"If that's the case she loves you too." Dad blinked.
"Girls don't get physical until she loves you." He added and left the room saying he had some work to complete.

Moments later Rushav texted me to send the pictures. I created a group and send them all the pictures.

The day passed doing nothing. Anna wasn't online, as she said she was expecting some guests in her home.

Next day in college everyone was asking me if Anna and I were together. Maybe they saw our pictures from the tour. Rushav and Sumee officially announced their relationship to the whole college.

"You guys look good together." Abhi blinked at me.
Whole class was telling me the same thing. At the end of the day I was irritated of hearing the same thing.

"Bro! Boys asking for treat." Rushav said at the last period.
"For our relationship." He added.

"Go on." I said, my voice full of sarcasm.
"It's not a problem but they said they want Sumee to come with us." He said.
"And Sumee won't come without Anna." He added.
"Call her too. What's the problem?" I said casually. Deep down I was happy.
"I don't know if they'd be comfortable." He added.
"Don't worry, they'll be okay as long as we are with them." I told him.
"Fine, I'll text them." He said and I nodded.

After college Anna and Sumee were waiting for us. Something was strange my heart was beating so fast. It was never like that before. I was nervous. But why? My subconscious was reminding me that I love Anna.
I ignored him and went towards the girls. Rushav told them everything and they agreed. Boys were waiting for us in the parking.

Anna and Sumee went towards the gate and we went to get our bike. Rushav told me to meet in our regular cafe.

Sumee got in Rushav's bike and Anna in mine. Then we left. The drive was silent. None of us spoke anything.

After reaching the cafe we took a huge table. Anna sat with me as Rushav and Sumee were together.

"Is anything wrong?" I asked her cause she wasn't speaking.
"Everyone in my class thinks we're together." She said nervously.
"Aren't we together?" I asked her, I don't know why I asked that.
"Aaa---ar--aaav.." Anna stammered.
