Anna's POV:

"Babe are you serious?" Aarav was asking me.
"Of course I am. let's do it please" I smiled.

It was our 1st Valentine's day. We were out on a date. Aarav, I and my two best friends Rushav and Sumee, they were a couple too. It was like a double date. We were in a mall. It was all decorated with red balloons. So many competitions were happening. We four were watching couples compete, dancing on a piece of paper, blasting balloons, etc.

Then the host announced the new game. Couples had to make a permanent tattoo. They'd be provided some designs and they had to choose one, without revealing. The couple who chooses the same design wins the game. The game sounded so interesting to me. I wanted to make a tattoo for Aarav as a sign for our love.

I raised my hand when the host asked if anyone of us were interested. 3 of them were shocked specially Aarav. Sumee made fun of me as I was afraid of needles. I ignored her and looked at Aarav. He asked me if I was serious. I smiled at him. He didn't said anything, he held my hands and took me to the stage. People started cheering for us. The host welcomed us. Another 2 couples joined us.

The host explained us the rules.
1. Aarav and I can't be together while making a tattoo.
2. We have to choose design separately.
3. We can't reveal the design we selected until it's done.

The audience clapped for us. Rushav and Sumee looked so excited. Aarav and I were holding hands. The host told us to take seats separately. Before taking seats Aarav told me that our love will never end. Then he kissed on my forehead.

We girls were taken behind the stage and boys were on the stage.
We took the seats. We were provided few designs.
Stars, Heart with letter inside, Rose, name of partner and a infinity sign with a letter.

One girl chose to make a heart with letter P inside it.
And another girl chose stars.

I was confused about what to choose. Aarav loves stars. Every night he spends hours watching the stars. He might choose them. Heart was too simple for him, he's someone who doesn't like doing things directly. Heart with a letter is too direct way of expressing love. According to Aarav, roses are over rated. He won't choose Rose. Writing our names were way too dramatic. Infinity sign, Aarav might  choose that. That might be the symbol for our infinite love.

I was confused between stars and Infinity sign. Then I realized the tattoo wasn't about what we liked. It was about us, our love. Then I remembered what Aarav said "our love will never end." That meant our love is infinite.

"Infinity with the letter A" I told the tattoo artist. He asked me where I wanted to make the tattoo. In the wrist of my right hand, I replied. There's a reason behind that.
Then the tattoo artist started making the tattoo and completed within an hour.

Then we all went back to the stage. The crowd cheered for us. Aarav smiled as he saw me. The host continued the competition. Then the time came to reveal our tattoo.
We were told to sit with our partner.
We were the first couple to take part so we were told to reveal our Tattoos first.

I was so nervous. I was okay with whatever he'd made. He doesn't do anything without a reason. I was curious to see the tattoo.
The host made me reveal my tattoo first.

I forwarded my hand towards Aarav. I nearly cried when I saw the bandage in his right wrist. We made tattoo on the same place. The crowd cheered for us. He held my hands and started to remove the bandage. Finally my tattoo was revealed. His eyes were full of tears when he saw my tattoo. Then he hugged me. I had never seen him that proud. He kissed on my tattoo.
It was his turn to reveal his tattoo.
I removed the bandage from his wrist. What I saw in his hands made me cry of happiness. The same infinity tattoo with "A". I hugged him so hard. He rubbed my tears. Both of our happiness was unexplainable. That moment proved our love.

Anna Aarav Anna Aarav....
The crowd was cheering.

Anna Anna Anna....
why were people just cheering for me. Why weren't they saying Aarav..
"Anna what's wrong???" Someone was asking me. Then I felt a big pat on my back.

Aarav wasn't besides me. I wasn't in the mall. I looked at my wrist, the tattoo was still there. I was inside a room with Siwani and Nancy. I was no more in Nepal. I was in London. I couldn't speak a word. Siwani and Nancy looked really worried. I didn't see them coming inside my room.

I remembered taking shower, and getting out of the room. Then the thought of facing Aarav made me stay in the room. I had no idea when I went to the past. Aarav was on my mind. I don't know why I remembered that Valentine's day.

I told Siwani I was just tired and wanted to sleep. Nancy told me to eat something first. I was hungry I couldn't say no. I told Nancy and Siwani not to tell anyone what they saw. They simply agreed. After few seconds Nikki came to call us. We all got up and went outside.

All of them stared at me as if I was a criminal. The food was set on the table. They were waiting for me. I gave them a weak smile.

Thank God!! no one asked me what I was doing.
"I was remembering my past" imagine me saying that.. haha..
I was expecting a taunt from Aarav, but he didn't even look at me. He was busy on his phone.
Siwani and Nancy looked confused. I was sure they'd ask me the reason later.

Siwani's POV:

Anna didn't notice us at all when we entered in her room. Just because others were waiting for us, I didn't ask her anything at that moment. We went outside. The food was on the table. We took seats.
Anna sat besides me. She didn't even speak a word, she just kept on eating. Aarav was in front of us. I thought he'd say something but didn't. He didn't even look at Anna.

Aarav's POV:

I just hoped Anna was okay. She was never like that before. She was someone who'd scold people for not being punctual. And Anna wasn't someone who'd stay hidden just to avoid people.

Siwani and Nancy brought Anna out. I wonder what they did. Anna looked lost. I just wished she was not doing these because of our past.
I didn't look at her, that would have just made the situation worst. She sat in front of me. I pretended as if I was busy eating. Neither I spoke anything nor Anna did. Rest of the people were talking.

We'd be going to the office after 3 days. We were given few days leave. We were free to go anywhere on those days. The company even provided us a car. Mr. Shakya told us these things during dinner.

Anna still had the tattoo. I don't know why but seeing the tattoo brought a smile on my face.
I wonder she too couldn't remove that after we broke up. So many memories were connected to that simple infinity tattoo. That day... I was shocked when Anna raised her hands to take part in the competition. I even asked her if she was sure. She replied without stammering. And that was the proof that Anna was sure. She stammers whenever she is confused and sad. But that time she didn't. Then I held her hands and took her to the stage. I was so nervous when I removed the bandage from Anna's wrist. But seeing the infinity Tattoo made me cry of happiness. I was proud of her. I was proud of our love. I too choosed the same design. Infinity with A, simply defined our never ending love.

But our infinity ended. Life didn't went as we planned. That tattoo just remained a tattoo...

After dinner, David brought ice cream and served it. Anna refused to have the ice cream.
I was shocked. Ice cream was her favorite. Whenever we went out she never missed an ice cream. Or let's say our date used to be incomplete without an ice cream. Why did she said no to ice cream?

Is she the same Anna I loved? What made her say no to her favorite dessert?
