Chapter 4: She still cares!

Anna's POV:

Life dragged me into past, the past which passed years ago.
Out of billions of people, why Aarav?

He was still the same, the same stubborn guy. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him in the cafe.
We met exactly where we separated.

What did life want from us? Why have we crossed each other's path again after this long? We've to spend months together. I wonder what will happen next.

It was already 3 hours since we flew from Doha. Siwani and Nancy both were asleep. Mr. Shakya was busy on his own. And I was staring outside the window. I had no idea what Aarav was doing. I hoped he was okay. He knew soup had mushrooms, I wondered why he ate that. Oops, how could I forget, he always did whatever he want. He has nothing to do with others feeling.

My mind stopped working since I met Aarav. I was back to the days when I knew him. The one ,once I loved. The one, once I trusted. The one I wanted to spend my life with. And the one who was responsible for all the pain I faced in my past 6 years.

Siwani must have guessed something was off between Aarav and me. She even asked me if I knew Aarav. And the way she looked at my tattoo. Aarav and I made that together, as a symbol for our infinite love.

As I was going to take a nap I noticed Aarav got up from his seat. I hoped he was okay. He turned to us, our eyes met but without a word he walked towards the washroom.

Aarav's POV:

Siwani and Nancy were sleeping and Anna was awake. I wondered what she was doing alone. I was asleep from an hour. I couldn't sit there, so I went to the washroom.

Out of billions of people, why Anna?
My heart skipped a beat when I saw her. 6 years ago, we separated exactly at that place. I wanted to know how her 6 years were. I wondered if she missed me the way I missed her.

In the previous flight, I knew there were mushrooms. I ate it cause I wanted to see Anna's reaction. I thought she wouldn't care but her reaction was so warm. Exactly the way she used to react. It felt so good to realise she still remembered those small details about me. And the tattoo, she too still had it.

Why have we met again? Out of billions of people why Anna? I was here to start a new life but Life dragged me in my past!

I decided to treat her just as a colleague. I didn't want things to get awkward between us. I'd talk to her if it's about work, nothing more.

I went back to the seat, preparing myself to face Anna with confidence. But Anna was asleep when I reached to my seat. She hated sleeping without a blanket.  I kept a blanket on her lap and returned to my seat.
It was just for a colleague, nothing personal.

Siwani's POV:

When I opened my eyes, Aarav was putting blanket over Anna.
I pretended as I didn't see anything.
Aarav went back to his seat. That was cute haha.. I slept again.

I woke up with a pat on my lap. Anna was waking me up. Air hostess were serving dinner. A beautiful air hostess came to us, Anna asked her if there was mushroom in the food. She smiled and said, they've served dinner to Aarav without mushroom. With the mention of Aarav, he looked at us with a confused look. Everyone of us laughed at him, Anna too. We had peaceful dinner.

"How are you feeling now?" Anna asked Aarav.
"I'm fine now" Aarav replied with a smile.

They didn't seem uncomfortable. I was so curious to know their story. Still I couldn't ask them. I decided to ask them once we get along. They looked good together. I wondered what happened to them.

"We'll reach in two hours" Mr. Shakya broke the silence.
"Still two hours" Rohan sighed.
"Look at those beautiful air hostesses, the time will pass faster" Aarav suggested in a sarcastic way.

All of us laughed, except Anna.
