"Let's go to Aarav's room." Nancy got up. I nodded and joined Nancy.
Both of us went to Aarav's room.
Aarav was looking from the window and Rohan was sitting on the bed.
"Aarav?" I went towards him.
"Please don't say anything." He interrupted me.
Then I sat besides Rohan.
"The Best Of Me" was on the pillow.
I took it. The bookmark was in the page 184. That meant Aarav read the book. I started to read the book cause Rohan and Nancy were just staring at the wall.
"We must stop!" Aarav broke the silence.
"Stop what?" Rohan asked.
Then Aarav sat besides Nancy.
"Siwani! Anna and I aren't Amanda and Dawson." Aarav said, looking at the novel.
"Who said you guys are?" I questioned him.
"Amanda and Dawson are the lead characters of this novel." I added cause Nancy and Rohan looked confused.
Nancy took the book from my hand and started reading the epilogue.
"I mean, we can't get together again!" Aarav sounded irritated.
"What are you talking about?" Rohan interrupted him.
"Tell us exactly what actually is happening in your mind." I turned to Aarav.
"Anna was talking as if she loved me, as if she really cared about me." Aarav said, barely controlling his tears. None of us said a word cause we had no idea about that.
"Whatever she said was all lie." Aarav added.
"That evening in Swayambhu? Didn't you guys go there?" Nancy asked.
"We did but..." Aarav stopped.
"But what?" I added.
"Whatever she said about her feelings were fake. She lied! " Aarav said.
"If she really loved me she shouldn't have left me." Aarav said after 5 minutes of pause.
"Why did you break up?" I asked, gathering all my strengths.
Rohan and Nancy gave me a strange look. They must have thought I was out of my mind, but that question was necessary.
Aarav gave a weak smile.
"Anna and I fought over something." Aarav said.
"Was that the only reason?" I asked cause by hearing their past stories they didn't seem like a couple who'd breakup just because of a fight.
"I wanted to end the fight but Anna decided to leave the college." Aarav said and all of us were shocked. Anna left the college that meant they had a serious fight.
"Wasn't Anna serious in your relationship?" Rohan asked.
"I don't know." Aarav replied.
"She loved me but she changed with time." Aarav said, looking at his tattoo.
"Didn't you guys met after breaking up?" Nancy asked.
Aarav shook his head.
"Do you regret breaking up with her?" I asked.
"The break up was from her side." Aarav said. I couldn't say anything after that.
"Let's go and cook something for the dinner." Aarav said, pointing to the watch.
"It was 6:30 pm."
"Yeah let's go." I said. We had to go to the office the next day, we must prepare for that.
Then all of us went to the kitchen.
"Where's Anna?" Aarav whispered in my ears.
"In her room." I replied.
"She cried after you left." I added.
"Why?" He asked, looking worried.
"Cause you were rude to her and left like that." I told him the truth. We were like a family so I didn't hesitate telling him the truth.
"Sorry! I just couldn't control myself. All those memories came in front of my eyes." Aarav said.
"Apologize to her not me!" I gave him a smile.
"Come here please!" Nancy called me in the kitchen.
"Don't leave Anna alone." Aarav said before I went to the kitchen.
I nodded and joined Nancy.
Aarav started helping Rohan cut the vegetables.
"Should we call Anna?" Nancy said in a lower voice.
"Let me text her first." I said.
*Anna? Babe are you okay? We're in the kitchen.* I texted her. But she didn't respond.
We prepared the dinner within a hour.
"Go! call her." Aarav said, taking out the plates and glasses.
