Another Go

Chapter 9: Those promises

We all went to the church first, St. Margaret's Church. It took 10 minutes of walk to reach there from our building. The church was soo beautiful, buildings were so unique. All of us started taking pictures. There was a big board where the church's history was written.

"Let's go." Nikki said, guiding us.

That was my first time in the church.
Just like in the movies.

"Where's Aarav?" Anna asked, turning to me.  I didn't even realize Aarav wasn't there until Anna asked me about him.

"He's reading the history." David replied for me. 

Without a word Anna too left. She looked disappointed. None of us followed her. We sat on a bench. 15 minutes passed, they weren't back. I couldn't even focus on the prayer.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Rohan asked me, maybe he noticed my concern.
"Anna and Aarav, I'm worried." I told him the truth.
"Let's go and find them." He said and I nodded. Telling Nancy we'd be back soon we left.

We went to the place where Aarav was reading about the church but he wasn't there. We tried calling them but they didn't pick up. Rohan and I went to the different directions to find them.

I went to the garden but they weren't there. After few minutes I got a text from Rohan, telling me to come to the backyard without making any noise. I did as he said, I went to the backyard.

Rohan was hiding behind a tree. I went towards him and asked him what he was doing. He pointed me to bench where Aarav and Anna were sitting. Both of them looked serious.

Then Rohan said he heard Aarav shouting at Anna. We kept on watching them from there. We couldn't hear them, or maybe they were quiet. Then both of them got up. Aarav went to the front yard and Anna inside the Church. I followed Anna and Rohan followed Aarav.

I sat besides Anna. She didn't speak a word. After few minutes we went out. Rohan and Aarav were at the gate.

Then we went to the Big Ben, took pictures. Everyone were enjoying but Anna looked off.

"Are you okay?" I asked Anna.
"Yes." She faked a smile.
"Give me a minute." Anna added and started walking towards Nancy.

I went towards Aarav, but he changed his direction when he saw me. He was avoiding me cause he knew I'd ask him about his past.

"Did you talk with Aarav?" I went besides Rohan and asked him.
"He said he didn't want to talk about it." Rohan sighed. We decided not to ask them anything.

Then we went to a mall, to buy the things we needed. We took things for our apartment. Since we came out from the church Anna and Aarav didn't even talk to each other.
Then we went to have dinner.

Saying they'd take us to the office the next day, Nikki and David returned back. We 5 made our way to our apartment. All of us were quiet the whole day. I opened the door and went in. We all sat in the living room and started taking out the things we bought. Rohan and Nancy kept them in the right places.

I was so tired. I wished them good night and went to my room. I freshened up, changed my clothes and started reading a book. Without realizing I felt asleep.

I woke up with a sound of someone putting something on the table.
"Sorry we woke you up" Aarav and Rohan were in my room.

Aarav's POV:

Siwani went to her room. She looked upset. We didn't even had a conversation the whole day. After the church incident I maintained my distance from her cause I knew she'd definitely ask me the reason and I didn't want to talk about that.
