"Lance, set course for the mothership!"
"Allura, are you crazy?! We'll never be able to convince the others that you aren't brainwashing them!"
"We can try! Now, set course."
Lance's eyes, unbeknownst to him, faintly glowed blue. Allura may be a princess and may be pampered but she isn't stupid.
Lance had come to visit her, talking about how disappointed he was in her. Allura just pumped his veins full of a stronger mind control drug.
It might come with bad side affects later on, but for now the blue paladin would do everything this princess says.
How they got out of the Galran ship was a mystery to Lance, he simply didn't remember. And he left it at that, not trying to delve deeper into his mind. Allura told him not to. He trusted Allura.
Before they got to the ship, Lance went to take a nap. Allura finally had time to think without Lance wondering and complaining, shooting down whatever thought process she was on.
Allura had an idea. She would go onto the Galran ship and go after whoever she saw first. She'd tell Lance to stay on the ship while she would go ahead into Galran territory.
If she saw a paladin, she'd brainwash them. If she saw Lotor, she'd brainwash him. Anyone who was important, really.
After another hours trek, they were at the large Galran ship. Allura had prepped, wearing black and purple to fit in, vials of brainwash things in her pockets.
She smirked, it was time. She left a note out for Lance, telling him to not wonder about her, that she was infiltrating the ship alone and to trust her.
Allura went in.
Lance woke up about an hour later, a hand on his shoulder.
"My love, I've missed you."
Lance recognizes the voice, Lotor. Allura had warned him about the man. She told Lance that he was a vile, evil man. That he would kill the paladin first chance he got.
Lance immediately stiffed and got fighting ready. Lotor sighed.
"Lance, why did you run off? Why did you visit her? She isn't good, you know that! She probably pumped you with more of her brainwashing juice."
He sounded sad, defeated maybe. He knew Lance was awake, he could tell by the tensing up sudden change in attitude.
"Lance, love, listen to me. She's tricking you. Allura is a horrible person. She was in my prison before she took you. You are in danger every time you are with her."
Lance believed him. If Lotor has the guts to call Lance love than why wouldn't Lance trust him. Lance hummed, his eyes turning electric blue and then back to its normal hue.
"Lotor? What happened? I don't remember," Lance says, sounding weak. He had been given too strong a dose, his body couldn't handle it.
"Lance, we need to get you into the infirmary. Quick, let me help you."
Before he could, however, Allura stood behind him, her shadow causing the wall to seem wicked.
"Ah, ah, ah. Where are you going, Lotor?" her words sounded like venom on her tongue. She quickly, before Lance could stop her, tried to jam a vial of brainwashing juice into Lotor.
Someone pulled her away before she could, however. A voice speaking clearly saying, "no, Allura. You don't get to do that."
Allura's eyes widened, "C-Coran? No! You must understand Coran! We need more Alteans! More of our kind!"
Coran didn't loosen his grip. In fact, he tightened it.
"Allura, this isn't the way to do it. This isn't what your father would've wanted."
Those words cut through Allura like a hot knife.
"No...," she mumbles. "He would've wanted this! He would've agreed with me!"
She threw a tantrum like a little kid, fighting against Coran. Finally, he let go of her because he couldn't hold onto her any longer.
"Fine! I'm done with this! Done with you and those ungrateful paladins!"
Allura shook with anger as she carefully walked away to the airlock and threw herself out of the ship. It took a little bit to get one door opened and closed and then the other door opened but Allura didn't care.
She was out, she wouldn't be back.
Allura was gone. Lance fell asleep. Lotor, knowing Lance would be okay, took him carefully and slowly to the infirmary.
"You're okay," he muttered to Lance. "You'll be okay."
And he was, as he would continue to be. He and Lotor grew old together. They ruled together, beautifully and the best the kingdom had ever seen.
They visited Earth sometimes, to see Lance's family and to visit the ex-paladins. They had all retired after finding out the truth about Allura.
They went to Earth and were happy, they were together and safe.
