"Hey guys," Lance greeted, walking into the castle of lions. "There's a lot of—."
"Shut up, Lance. No one cares," Pidge interrupted. Lance simply nodded and walked away, something that the other had gotten used to by now.
No one asked where Lance went, no one followed Lance. No one asked Lance anything. They didn't question Lance.
They had been stuck on this planet for a while now. After landing, thankfully peacefully, and getting stuck here, they've been doing their own thing.
Allura, Coran, and Pidge have been trying to get in contact with anyone who can help. Keith's been training with Shiro. Hunk has been stress baking. And Lance, well, Lance would just kind of come and go as he pleased.
Sometimes he'd leave the castle, sometimes he wouldn't even leave his room. No one asked, no one truly cared. They were all too wrapped up in their own thing.
Lance would always come back before it got dark, so, there was nothing to be worried about. Lance could doing whatever he was doing.
"Ah, the blue paladin," a sharp voice said. Lance looked down. A small and short person sat there. They were practically human, except way shorter.
They sat comfortably on a rock, a rather small rock though. He looked up at the blue paladin and smiled warmly.
Lance crouched down and, after a few beats of silence, sat down.
"Hi, Martin," Lance responded glumly.
"They still treating you like that," Martin, the alien human, asked in response. Lance simply nodded. "Damn, they've been treating you like that this whole week."
Lance hesitated, "I don't blame them. They're all stressed about being here without being able to contact anyone."
Lance gave out a bitter laugh, "they still think no one lives here."
Martin shifted, sliding down to Lance. He sat on the snowy floor along side Lance.
"Then tell them about us," the alien offered.
Lance scoffed, "I've tried. They won't listen."
His words were laced with poison and Lance almost flinched at how harshly he had said it. Martin simply shook his head.
"Well, we could've helped. But if they're not willing to listen then I guess we really can't," Martin rolls his eyes.
Lance chuckles a little at Martin and Martin just gives Lance a look.
"You know what? You should join our village, try some of my foods, meet some other people," Martin offers to Lance. "We'll listen."
Lance sighs, "I wish it was that easy. I've got a team, I can't just leave."
"But you can," Martin pushes. "Think about it and get back to me. You know where to find me."
Lance nods and watches Martin walk off. Lance spends some more time in the snow, only leaving when night started coming.
Lance looks down at himself as he walks back. There was snow covering some of his clothes, making him even colder as the sun and it's warmth disappeared.
Lance rushed home, wiping snow off his clothes and ruffling it out of his hair. When it started snowing, Lance felt happiness flow through himself.
Lance loved the rain, loved everything to do with the rain. And snowing, as much as it isn't rain, was so similar to rain that it made Lance bounce with happiness.
