Lance missing the ocean because it reminds him of his home and he goes to this planet with the other paladin and finds a shell.
The shell makes ocean noises so Lance keeps it but slowly he gets more sluggish and tired and overall just sickly. Eventually, the others notice and take him back to the planet he got the shell at.
The aliens there are like !!! This is an infection causer!!!
So they start treating Lance but it's a really painful treatment that Lance has to endure and the paladins have to watch him endure.
