YOUR POV

"And what's Vormir again?" Nat asked Nebula, getting ready to write things down on her notepad.

"It's the place where Thanos-" nebula paused for a moment, "The soul stone is there."

Natasha began scribbling things down in her perfect handwriting, making me look at her with a soft smile. She's been working extremely hard to try and keep the Avengers together, this hope sparked something inside of her I thought she pushed away for good.

"If that's the last place, and we have a plan, I think we need to set teams." Steve crossed his arms over his broad chest.

"I promised her she'd be safe." I sighed heavily as I sat next to my girlfriend on a chipped rock.

"We promised she'd be safe." Nat took my hand and squeezed it.

I chuckled, "Yeah. But I promised myself that I would get her back."

"You don't know if it'll work." Nat squeezed my hand tighter, her sea green eyes on the verge of tears as her voice cracked.

"Thanos got all the stones. He left here with the stone and without Gamora." I stood up from the rock, kicking a pebble on the ground.

"A soul for a soul." Clint grunted.

"Y/n I'm not letting you do this!" Nat strained as she stood up too, grabbing both of my hands. "I don't want to finish this without you."

"I don't want to do this either. Natasha... I'm replaceable, your family isn't." I sniffled, bringing my hand up to caress her cheek.

"But you are my family. What's Thea going to think when you don't return? What am I supposed to tell her!?" Nat hit my chest as she began to cry.

"The truth. I failed, Nat. I have to get her back." I cried as I pulled Natasha into a hug, feeling her warm tears hit the cold of my neck.

I looked over her shoulder and at Clint who was giving me a watery smile. I smiled back at him, giving him the clue that I want him to take care of Nat. The archer nodded and I held my stubborn, beautiful, caring girlfriend in my arms for the last time.

"I love you." Both of us pulled back to look into each other puffy red eyes.

Nat cried harder, "I love you. Thank you for everything you've done for me."

"Don't get sappy on me now, Tasha. I know you've wanted me gone since the moment we met." I joked to try and lighten the mood.

Nat glared at me before punching me hard in the arm.

"Okay okay." I surrendered, "Don't forget about me."

"Never." She breathed before pulling me into a searing kiss.

Our cold and chapped lips met for the last time, both of us going slow to remember the way everything felt down to the cold on our backs.

"Hug Thea for me." I kissed her cheek, then the tip of her nose, before kissing her forehead.

NATASHAS POV

"Nat, wheres y/n?" Steve asked me as pursed my lips as I tried to keep the tears at bay.

"She sacrificed herself for us. It was the only way to get the stone." Clint spoke up, hugging me closer to his body.

Steve looked down, the grief and loss settling deep within all of us.

We won. We got it right this time. I limped into Tony and Peppers cabin, hugging the widow and their little girl Morgan.

"Tasha?"

I heard a small voice from behind me. I turned around and saw y/ns little sister, Thea. She was wearing a black dress and had her hair braided.

"Hey, little one." I limped over to her and kneeled down to her level. Her small arms wrapped around the back of my neck as she squeezed herself against me, shaking as she cried.

"Where's my sister?"

"Y/n," I started pushing a strand of hair behind her small ears, "She's with Tony."

"Will they be back?" Her voice cracked as more tears ran down her face. I wiped them away gently.

"They will.... just not now."

"Soon?"

"Yes. Soon." I sniffled before pulling her into a hug once more, "I'm going to take care of you till then."

"Promise?"

My breath hitched in the back of my throat, "I promise."
