YOUR POV

The ground swayed under me and the last thing I saw before the corners of my vision turned a weird blue, was Thanos turning into nothing but ash, flowing out through the cracks of the worn hut.

[...]

I groaned and winced at how dry my throat was, slowly fluttering my eyes open I realized I wasn't in the compound anymore but in my own bed on Tara. But how? Lifting the blanket up a few inches I was able to see my arm wrapped in a sticky gauze, a earthy smell lingering off it.

"Glad to see you're awake." My dad sighed happily as he made his way over to my bed.

"Hey, Dad." I rasped before going into a coughing fit.

Reaching for my dads outstretched hand I grabbed the small glass of water and downed it fast, the burning dulling down.

"Why am I on Tara?"

"We thought the power of the stones had taken your life so we thought you would like a warriors burial. I'm happy to say you were alive and only sustained some damage to your arm. Within a few days only scars should be left." My father explained.

"Where's Nat and the others?"

"Waiting for you in the dining hall. I figured you'd be hungry when you woke up so I prepared a feast for you."

"Thanks." I smiled weakly.

"I'll send your girlfriend in."

With that my dad left my room and I let my head fall back onto my pillows.

"Hey." Nat called softly as her head peaked in my room.

"Hey." I smiled and gestures for her to come in, watching her wheel a cart full of food and drinks on it.

"I figured you wouldn't want to celebrate right now, so I just brought you food." Nat stopped the cart near my bed before her sea green eyes welled with tears. Soon she began sobbing.

"Hey..." I cooed softly, opening the blanket up with my one good arm and letting her fall into my side, "what's wrong?"

"You- we- I thought you were dead. You were so still and you weren't breathing for a second. I thought I lost you." Nat hiccuped.

"Six stones of power and a giant grape with a ballsack on his chin, isn't going to take me away from you that easily. I'm not leaving until you want me too." I kissed the top of her head as she let out a watery chuckle into my neck.

"You're so cheesy. I love you, y/n."

"I love you too." A brief pause settled over us before I decided to ruin the mood, "Can we eat now?" I whined.

"Yes," Nat giggled, "We can eat now."
