Standing alone near the river I stuffed my hands in my pockets, watching the small waves pass by and the occasional turtle float down stream. Natasha Romanoff was gone. She touched the cold hand of death so that I could be standing here to mourn her.
Tony Stark was gone too. He left behind a legacy and a daughter him and Pepper had. Nat would have loved to watch her grow up. I would have loved to babysit with her. But Natasha is gone and I am here.

Looking at the outstretched hand of Dr. Strange I declined the tissue he was trying to give me, wiping my tears with the back of my hand.
