Evangelina POV

Around an hour later, Kade and I finished taking a shower and freshened up. Kristiana gave me a fresh set of clothes so I wasn't walking around in a half torn shirt. I had to admit I was nervous to meet Dragon, I didn't know what to expect. Kade did tell me he wasn't bad and from what I gathered he and Dragon had a good relationship, yet still, I was nervous seeing as he was still the fucking devil. Admitadly the man was gorgeous, from the small glance I took of him, he was pretty handsome.

"You okay baby?" Kade asked pulling me away from my thoughts as we reached two massive black doors, I offered him a small smile and nodded. I knew if I had Kade with me I'd be strong enough to face anything.

I jumped as the two doors opened, the sound rickoshed through the hollow castle. I had to admit, seeing Dragon sitting atop his throne with red blazing eyes did nothing to quell my nerves. He looked like the epitome of freakish, but for some reason I wasn't as scared as I should have been when facing the devil. Maybe it was because my husband was holding my hand securely. 

"Ten minutes Kaden, not two fucking hours" Dragon growled, his voice was low and threatening and I had to force myself to not scream and run back into the sanctuary of the room. Kade however, seemed unaffected as he rolled his eyes and approached the throne. Dragon had this aura of death surrounding him and it was scary as hell, especially right now, he seemed about ready to behead Kade.

"My apologies, we got carried away" Kade replied with a smirk as he snaked his arm around my waist, my eyes widened and I nearly stomped on his foot.

What the fuck was he thinking? He was instigating the fucking Devil!

"Kaden! I swear I will kill you" Dragon growled, I had to admit, the animalistic tone in his voice had the hairs on the nape of my neck standing. 

Wait, kill my husband? Over my dead body.

"Come on, we both know your tricks don't work on me" Kade said in a playful tone. I was shocked, honestly, I mean Kade seemed to have no respect or even fear for this guy.

"Yeah, fuck me for making you so powerful, who would have known it would backfire" Dragon said in a slightly lighter voice, I could tell right away that he had a soft spot for Kade. He seemed like the type of guy to torture you for even looking him in the eye.

Kade shrugged with a smirk still evident on his face, I wanted to find out how he was so powerful that even the devil admitted to it. All I know is that he could conjure fire, which in itself to me was pretty amazing but at the same time, I doubt the Devil would be afraid of fire.

"So darling, how are you? You seem awfully quiet" Dragon said as his red, blazing eyes pierced through me. I felt my heart speed up, I didn't even know how to talk to him, Kade squeezed my hand, urging me to reply.

"I'm a little overwhelmed, but I'm fine" I replied, I was surprised at how steady my voice sounded despite my fear of being in this situation.

"That's to be expected, so let's cut to the chase, I'm sure Kaden filled you in but I am your father-"

I cut him off by giggling quietly, Dragon froze and stared at me like I was crazy, Kade seemed to have caught onto the joke and smiled down at me.

"I'm sorry, did I miss something?" Dragon asked annoyed.

"Have you ever seen Star wars?" I asked with a grin, I could see why Kade liked Dragon, he seemed so fun to annoy.

"What?" Dragon asked as he stared down at me with a frown. I giggled quietly and waved him off.
