A girl lost within the woods

Astrid's POV:

After I told lola deity what happened to us the last night she didn't waste another time and guided us inside her old oak house.

The first time I saw it today I thought it was a little bit small since i'm standing in front of the gate only. In my perspective my grand mother's house is normal but it isn't like any ordinary house.

If you'll look at it for some quite some time you'll notice that it's a house that almost resemble and old Victorian house. Its great designs from every detail are all well to the point that it'll make you jaw drop. As we walk through the entrance of her house lola deity's house seems to keep on getting bigger and bigger as we move forward.

When we finally reached in front of her main door I immediately got chills from my spines. Grabe ang laki ng bahay na ito, hindi ko inaakalang mayroong ganitong kalaking bahay sa liblib na baryo.

Habang nakasunod lamang ako sila mama at papa kasama si lola na tahimik na sinasamahan kami papasok sa loob ng kaniyang bahay ay hindi ko mapigilang ilibot ang mga mata ko kung saan-saan. Everything looks amazing, from lola's garden to her house.

"Saglit lang." lola said and pets a cat that's sitting on the front door.

"Musta kana mackie?" she said.

I assume that cat's name is mackie since that's what my grand mother called her. Matapos kamustahin ni lola ang pusa ay dahan-dahan niyang binuksana ng pinutaan ng kaniyang bahay.

"Tuloy kayo." she said gesturing her hand for us to come in.

"Napaka-tagal ko ng hindi napagmasdana ng ganda ng bahay na ito mama." my mom said to my lola as she roams her eyes into every corner of the room as we entered the house.

I saw a bunch of paintings of our family portrait and the rest of the paintings are all about cats. Sumatutal ay halos puro paintings ng mga alagang pusa ni lola't mga paintingts lang ng pamilya namin ang naka-sabit sa mga pader ng bahay.

The moment we came in I smell something, something that feels like home. That aroma makes me feel like home, nang makapasok kami sa loob ng bahay ay nawala na kaagad ang mga pangamba ko.

I suddenly forgot for the mean time the things that happened last night once we entered the house.

"Tara dito tayo." lola deity shows the living room and it was a very big one. Ang gaganda pa ng mga furnitures talagang alagang-alaga ni lola ang lahat ng mga bagay na nasa loob ng bahay niya. Everything seems to be newly polished and the floors are shinning clean, also the windows look like their all new.

Hindi mo aakalaing pang-limang henerasyon na ang nalagpasan ng bahay na ito. "Saglit lamang Linda, Peter, mayroon lamang akong aayusin sa kusina." wika ni lola saka agad na dumiretso sa kusina ng bahay.

"Dito ka po lumaki mama?" I asked my mom.

Tumango ito na nagsilbing pagsang-ayon niya sa katanungan ko. "Naaalala ko pa noong bata ako kasama ko ang mga tito't tita mo ditong maglaro sa bahay na ito. Kung saan-saan pa kami nagtatakbuhan sa laki ng bahay na ito, I miss those times." she replied.

"Mga ilang taon na po kayong hindi nakabalik dito?" I asked.

"Ever since I had to work and met your father. Inisip din kase namin na dapat kang lumaki sa isang normal na environment kaya mas pinili nalang namin na sa lungsod tayo mamuhay." tugon niya.
