"Here's the list of the classes that you'll be taking under my supervision."

I immediately turned my head around to that chilly voice earlier that struck me chills in my spine.

"Are you okay, dear?" It was Miss Moon all along. It was her voice that gave me a shock.

Still, thanks to her voice that saved me from the severe headache I've been feeling ever since I looked at the shelf.

"Why does your face seems to be bothered?"

"Ah eh wala po, pasensya na po Miss Moon medyo nawala lang po ako sa sarili."

"Ano po pala ulit ang gusto ninyong sabihin sa akin?" tanong ko matapos maalalang tinawag pala ako niya kanina.

"I was about to give you your schedules for tomorrow. Here are your classes that I've picked for you so I can intensely monitor your peculiarity." She handed me a piece of paper.

Even from afar, the paper Moon gave me smelled nice. It looks like she uses scented paper whenever she writes something.

"Th-thank you, Miss Moon." I thanked her, then I accepted the paper she gave me with the list of the classes that I'll be taking by tomorrow.

"Pwede po ba akong magtanong sa inyo?" wika ko.

Napatigil si Moon sa kaniyang pagbabalak na pag-lalakad nang marinig niya ang boses ko. Nagdalawang isip ako kung sasabihin ko ba kaagad sa kaniya ang nangyaring kakaiba sa akin dito sa loob ng library.

Kung sasabihin ko man sa kaniya hindi ako sigurado kung sasagutin ba niya ako ng tapat o magsisinungaling lang siya sa akin.

Tulad noong isang beses na nagtanong ako tungkol kay aunt Ilaria, alam ko sa sarili ko matapos kong mabasa ang mga mata niya, hindi niya ako tinapat ng maayos.

So the question that's bothering my head the time being is that, shall I ask Moon about what happened to me or should I just shut up?

"Dear."

"Astrid?" she placed her warm, firm left hand on top of my shoulder that made me focus my eyes on her.

"Ano ang gusto mong itanong sa akin?" kaniyang paalala.

"T-tungkol po pala sa mga klaseng kukuhanin ko dito. Paano po ako mag-aaral kung mukhang limitado lamang naman ang mga silid sa mansiyong ito tsaka iisa lang kayo, mayroon pa po bang ibang gurong makapag-tuturo sa amin?"

I decided not to, for now, I want to keep it for myself.

"With that question coming from you, I think you still don't have any idea of what the house is capable of."

Natawa si Moon sa aking tanong sa kaniya. Nagsimula na siyang maglakad papaalis, tumigil siya pansamantala nang makarating siya sa pintuan ng library.

Sinundan ko siya ng tingin kaya agad kong napansin ang pag-senyas niya sa akin na lumabas ng silid aklatan at sumunod sa kaniya.

I ran towards her. I then looked back at the strange shelf for the last time. As soon as I arrived next to Moon, she started strolling off from me.

"Follow me, my dear," she said.

Nagsimula na kaming maglakad ni Miss Moon pero walang akong ni isang ideya kung saan kami papunta.

"Hi, Astrid!" bati ng mga nadaanan kong mga larawan kanina bago ako mapadpad sa silid aklatan.
