CHAPTER 44

Section 35

"Almost Over"

Aster fainted— we hurried to her and helped her along with the other two. We gave them time to heal and food to replenish their strength.

Aster woke up, Aisha and the others went to her while a few of us were left to stay with Amethyst and Damien.

"Are you feeling better now?" I asked Amethyst whom I'm tending to. She nodded. "Thank you." Amethyst smiled replying to me.

"It's alright, we're all in this together now," I said.

"I think we should get going and proceed with the plan now that everyone's feeling okay." Damien on the other end of the place suggested.

He's escorted by Lilac and I escorted Amethyst until we get to the meeting place where we saw the three of them earlier. It took us several minutes but we're finally here.

"Is everybody here?" Aisha asked.

"Yes." We replied.

"I know that we're the ones left to save and rescue the others." She started elaborating the plan to everyone.

"Just like what all of you heard— we'll be doing the moon bath according to the book. It's the only thing that seems to be plausible and where we'll have an advantage in the end." She paused to breathe some air.

"Aster will provide us gears and other necessities for physical combat with the beast with the help of her peculiarity. On the other hand, the others will be separated into two groups— one will be distracting the beast to drive them away from the mansion while the other group will rescue and other and place their bodies on the lake Eugene and I searched for earlier."

"The goal is to move as fast as we could so that there's a lesser chance of us being harmed by those creatures."

"Make sure that no beast is following any of the groups— once we saw something strange, especially a beast, kill it without making any noise." Aisha reminded us of the things we must do.

"Understood?"

"Yes!" Everyone agreed.

Aisha then, later on, separated us into groups while Aster is busy creating the gears and other combat gears like spears, gas bombs, and swords.

I was placed into the rescue team together with Damien, Lia, Calix, and Aman. While the rest is appointed to be the team who distracts the beasts out of the house.

It took us two to three hours to prepare. "Is everyone ready?" Aisha asked.

I saw everyone eagerly agreeing to what Aisha asked. They were all willing to risk their lives to save the others and that's what I need to do as well.

Half of this mess is my fault. Because of my selfish acts, these things shouldn't be happening— I was the one who went on my own accord to the malum malus and got escorted by Usher as I yearn for the knowledge to the future.

That is why I will do my best to help everyone and get them out of the mansion as quickly as I can.

We separated ways. We waited near the house where Damien and Calix started digging so we can get inside the mansion without anyone noticing us. Aisha told us that she'll say when we can go inside the mansion once she says so.

Finally, after several minutes they're done digging our way in. Aisha used her peculiarity to talk to Damien and Calix by directly communicating through their minds.
