The true meaning of thy events

Astrid's POV:

I lost my conscience again and then I just woke up as I was tied down to a chair inside a very gloomy dark place inside the mansion.

"Where am I?" I asked.

I turned my head everywhere as I look for anyone that I can call for help. "Wait, what did really happen to me earlier? And why am I here?" I clarified everything inside my head.

The last thing I remember is that I was stuck inside this mansion as the black panther was chasing me. Then there was a nice looking lady standing from a far in front of me and then she hid herself in the darkness then disappeared.

She then showed herself accompanies with a few people as their eyes were gleaming and then they asked me to stay afterwards for a meal. I ate with them and then excused myself for I'll be going ahead.

The last thing I remembered is that I was being surrounded by everyone including Moon and some of the orphans as their eyes started glowing like crazy and then I fainted again. Woke up here tied down to a chair, sitting inside a dark hallway with no light.

"What led you here?" a voice came calling for my attention.

I turned my head again just to look for whoever was talking to me. I cannot see anyone near. I just ended up replying even though I am already terrified. "I told you earlier, I was just being chased by a vicious black panther earlier that's why I went inside this mansion. I didn't know that it's your place so I am sorry."

"Can you please show yourself to me? I am already trembling in fear and it's really dark in here." I begged them to come out of the dark so I can see them.

I saw something glowing from the shadows, the purple luminescent light is what caught my attention at that time. I looked at it directly and only focused my attention on it.

"Ms. Moon is that you?" I asked.

Moon came walking towards my direction and while she's drifting her way to me, she was smiling brightly at me. I immediately felt scared and nervous when I saw her creepy smile.

How can someone show up out of nowhere in a very creepy way and then greet me like nothing even happened? Like they did nothing as if they didn't tie me down in this chair and left me in this scary hallway with no light source.

"Didn't we asked you why were you here?" she clears her throat.

"Yes and I already answered your questions. Didn't I?" I made her remember all of my answers when they asked me why I came across their house.

"My dear, this house is protected by spirits and other enchantments that prevent outsiders to easily get in without permission. So I am asking, how can someone like you break in the mansion without my consent?"

"What do you mean by spirits and enchantments?" I asked. I coughed after I got shocked by the information and asked her again. "Is this place haunted or something?"

"I promise you I don't have anything against this house or the people living in it. I just somehow walked pass by this and realized that this is the safest place where I could temporarily stay for a couple of minutes."

"I don't have any intention of harming anyone. Please believe me, Ms. Moon I am telling the truth." I begged her to believe me and that I am not lying just, so they can release me.
