"do you know what i'm thinking about right now?" jack asked looking at zach. they were both on the living room sofa. zach was sitting with a notebook on his legs and focused on doing math operations. final exams were close. but he stopped concentrating on the numbers when jack spoke to him, so zach focused his brown eyes.

"nop, what are you thining about?" the young one asked and a mischievous smiles was drawn in jack's mouth.

"that i would really like to know about your wet dreams with me."

when jack said that, zach choked on the air he was breathing and felt his skirts warm. "w-what?"

"you've heard me perfectly, zach. but if you want me to repeat the question. i'd like to..."

"no. shut up." zach intervened quickly raising his voice and shaking his head. "we're not going to talk about it. it makes me feel silly."

jack approached him on the couch and before zach could continue talking he gave a small kiss on the lips, a soft one. one who managed to reassure zach and at the same time get on his nerves.

"you are not silly." said jack. "you are perfect." one of his hands rose, stroking the chin of zach and forcing him to look at it. zach couldn't stop shaking. jack kissed him again as he gently stroked his cheek with his thumb. "do you know what else i think?" his tone was soft and low, as if he were telling zach a secret.

zach shook his head knowing that if he tried to speak he would surely stutter.

"you." the curly-haired boy spoke again. "all the time."

zach turned even redder and couldn't help smiling. "you're being too sweet today, watch out or you could melt me."

a wicked grin of jack's mouth as soon as those words came out of zach's. he will speak, but the doorbell rings and the two know that the pizza has arrived. jack was slow to react, however, he let zach free and got up to open the door.

zach released the air he was holding and deflated. the heat evaporated from his body and the coherence made his way into his mind once more. because jack always made him lose his mind.

maybe if i stay away, i won't stay like an idiot without neurons in front of him, the youngest thought.

zach turned around and watched as jack paid the pizza delivery man, he tried to control his pulse, but it was useless, he felt the jump in his chest when jack closed the door, turned and concentrated on zach.

the only consolation in those moments for zach was that, apparently, jack also felt something intense when they are together.

"mexican or pepperoni, you decide." said jack.

"mexican."

as if nothing had happened, jack signaled him to be followed. they entered the dining room, put the cardboard boxes on the table and indicated with his index finger to take a seat. jack disappeared for a few seconds and returned holding plates, glasses and a jug half full of lemonade.

the corners of zach's lips trembled because he noticed how jack was really struggling, put the dishes and served the drink. then they ate in silence while zach pretended he didn't know jack was watching him.
