My phone rang in my hand as a text appeared on it.

Chan: Come to Eva's party. I'm craving to see u again.

These two years made me go through hard times without you, as you told me when we broke up, we can't be together if we're far. Now that we're close again... no one can stop you from being mine again.

I love you. I've missed you like crazy. Keep us as a secret for now from everyone, just like in the start.

"LEE!" Eva's voice woke me from daydreaming about the text I just received from Chan.

"What?" I look up to see them laughing, "You're blushing so hard girl, is your boyfie there?" She's eyeing the phone I am holding.

"Yes." I accidentally lie.

They're nodding.
My mind couldn't leave Chan aside and just forget about the way he kissed me, fifteen minutes ago.

"Why did he leave though?" I ask them two about Chan.

Silence. I look at them with my questioning look, "Ugh I missed your face so much." Ver is saying in an amusing tone and I make a face while rolling my eyes.

"Uhm..." Eva thinks to yourself, "uhm..."

My heart starts to race as she turns to look at Ver.
"Should we tell her?" she asks him in a whispering voice.
Oh my god, what?

"He meets up with someone..." my heart stops beating. Or it's just the feeling.

No way.

"With a Korean guy that is after his trainee days in army. His best friend." Vernon says.

I start to laugh.

"Why are you laughing-?" Eva is teasing me, "Do you still care?"
My heart aches to that question.
I do care, but... it's not the whole truth. I don't know.

"Oh... nothing... so do you need help with decorations and stuff for-" I try to switch the subject, as I look away at the box with the decorations that's on the floor.

"Oh no honey... you're the party girl, but Vernon always can help." Eva says as we both laugh, before I decided to stay and help her with the decoration part, I texted Chan back.

Me: I'll be here. I mean at the party.

After a few seconds, I received a text from him.
Chan: I love you.

I Couldn't help myself but smile at my phone screen like an idiot.

How could I ever leave you for so long... how could I let go of you... please, don't make me regret all of this, I've had the most amazing two years in NC, I have someone by my side who's treating me the best, without all the bad things we, me and you, Chan, had once.
I am the happiest with the guy I am with now, but why you're pulling me closer again?
I'm thinking about this whole time while helping Eva, about all of my time without Chan, but with the amazing man I met there, in North Carolina, I couldn't let myself fall back into this.
but something made my body to cover with shivers, as I thought about Chan's touch.

After helping Eva, I went home.
My bedroom had so many memories, so many voices, laughter, happiness within these walls.
I got dressed and ready for the party at Eva's house, I stared at the wall with all of our polaroid's inside my old room.
Us together, now we look nothing like we used to, once, when we were younger.
Our polaroid that I left above my single bed, the one we're kissing in, on our first Christmas together... after that Christmas.
Our secret kisses are hidden from everyone, and I am saving for you the longest one's for later...
