My first love

      i remember scenarios
      of me admiring many boys
      yet there was once a time
      when i loved a man
     
      he was different
      from everyone that i admired
      he stood out
      in so many aspects
     
      he was silent; but caring and soft
      his voice was cold, that told me sweet
words
      he's like air but you'll feel your worth because of him
      and he was so far from my age but i still loved him
     
      i told him that i love him
      and he said that he loves someone else—
      my mother
      and that made me love him even more
