Shoto's pov

I walked over to Tamaki's room, knocking on the door and waiting for an answer. She'd been in her room for a while now and it was time for dinner so I'd come to get her. There was no answer to my knock. I knocked again. Still nothing. No click of the door unlocking. No scratching from Cosmo at the door. Just silence.
"Tamaki?" I asked, knocking on the door a third time. This time when there was no answer, I tried the door. Locked.
"Tamaki!" I yelled, knocking on the door harder to make a louder sound. There was still no sound in the room. I was done. I stepped back a little then threw myself at the door, my shoulder colliding with it. It hurt my shoulder but the door didn't budge. I tried again, throwing myself at the door. I felt the door budge that time.
"One more time" I mumbled. I walked back as far as possible and shouldered the door. The door gave way and I tumbled onto the floor. I looked around the room. Cosmo sat at the bathroom door, meowing and scratching at the wood. I scrambled to my feet and tried the handle. Also locked. Whatever Tamaki was doing, she obviously didn't want someone to interfere if she locked both her door and the bathroom door. I shoulder the door, making it budge slightly. This one was definitely easier to dent. I shouldered again and the lock broke off, the door swinging open. The moment the door was open, I saw Tamaki, lying on the floor, body shaking, back turned to the door.
"Tamaki?" I asked, kneeling down next to her. I turned her over. My heart sunk and my stomach did spins. Tamaki had a blade forced into her neck, blood dribbling down from the wound. A mix of blood, spit andd vomit was bubbling from her mouth, her body was spasming and her eyes wide open, staring at something I couldn't see.
"Tamaki. Can you hear me?" I asked, trying not to let the whimper in my voice show. I got no response. I pulled out my phone and dialed an ambulance.
"What's your emergency?" the woman on the other end of the line asked.
"My girlfriend.... I think she's dying" I explained, hands becoming sweaty and lips dry.
"Can you describe the situation and where you are?" she asked.
"I'm in the U.A dorms for class 1-a" I mumbled.
"Alright sir and can you describe what has happened?" she repeated. I looked around and noticed an empty pill bottle with a couple scattered pills on the ground.
"I.... I think she overdosed on her medication and..... And..." I trailed off, looking down at Tamaki.
"Sir?" she asked.
"She has a blade of sorts forced into her throat" I forced out, my throat feeling tighter as I said it.
"Alright sir. We're sending an ambulance right away. Do not remove the blade from her neck" she ordered. I nodded even though I knew she couldn't see it. She hung up as I put my phone in my pocket, pulling Tamaki close.
"Please don't die. Tamaki please" I begged, leaning my head against her forehead, tangling my hands in her hair.
"What am I going to do if you die?" I asked, gritting my teeth as tears fell onto her face from my eyes.
"You can't die. It's not your time. It wasn't supposed to end like this. I wanted you to live. I wanted us to grow up into adults and spend the rest of our lives together. I wanted you to be happy" I cried, my grip on her hair tightening. I heard the sound of sirens close by.
"Don't give up. Mr Aizawa needs you. I need you. It won't be the same without you" I pleaded. Footsteps stormed up the stairs and a couple doctors entered.
"Sir. Do you know how many pills she took?" one of them asked. I shook my head.
"I don't know how many were left" I explained, pointing to the empty pill bottle on the floor. They both nodded before one gently picked up Tamaki and took her downstairs.
"Is there anyone we should notify of this situation?" the other asked.
"Her father. Mr Aizawa. He doesn't know about this" I explained. The doctor nodded.
"Come with us. You look frazzled" the doctor offered. I nodded, going downstairs. Practically everyone in the class had seen Tamaki now. If they didn't know about what was going on in the dark then they sure did now. The doctor ushered me into the ambulance as I sat down, taking Tamaki's hand. It felt like I was in this same position only hours ago and yet it wasn't. Why did this have to happen to her. She didn't deserve this.
