Shoto's pov

I walked alongside Tamaki, our hands intertwined with each other. The market was busier than I thought and I could no longer see Amajiki, Shinso, Kaminari and Togata so I guess they were somewhere in the crowd. Eri was on Tamaki's shoulders, looking around everything with pure excitement and Emi nestled into her lap to keep himself at reach of Tamaki if the need occurred.
"Tamaki, look" Eri cheered, leaning over Tamaki's head to point at a stall. It was one of those games stores where you won a prize. Eri had pointed out a teddy bear about the same size as she was. Tamaki turned to me and directed her eyes towards the stall. I shrugged, walking with her to the stall.
"Hello. You here to play?" he asked, looking up at Eri who was almost bouncing on Tamaki's shoulders. I pulled out some yen and handed it to the guy. He put three round balls on the table. Tamaki handed one to Eri before bending down so she had a better shot.
"What do I do?" she asks.
"Just throw the ball at those bottles and try to knock them all over" the guy explained, stepping aside to avoid being hit. Eri looked at the ball before throwing it, missing the bottles and instead hitting the back and bouncing down onto the ground. She tried again but only knocked over the top bottle. She looked down with a sad look, clearly not thinking she could get it. I reach for the final ball but Tamaki beats me to it, now standing up straight and rolling her wrist that held the ball. The guy put the final bottle back on the top of the pile and stepped back again. Tamaki took a step back, getting into a stance. I panicked.
"You don't need to be getting all hero on this. Its just some bottles" I whisper to her. She doesn't say anything, instead throwing the ball, eyes lazer focused on the bottles. She hits a bottle in the bottom corner which wobbles for a few seconds, I hold my breath, preparing for the worst. Instead, the bottle finally falls, taking the bottles above it with it. Those bottles knocked any still standing over and left the small tower completly collapsed on the ground. The stall clerk was in complete shock while I turned to Tamaki.
"How did you do that?"
"A bonus of having a quirk based around my eyes, I naturally look for a weak point. Dad does it all the time" she explains, fiddling with her sleeves.
"Well, what will it be miss?" the guy asks, looking at us. Eri points enthusiastically to the Teddy bear. The guy grabs a pole, hooking the bear and lifting it off its hook to give to Eri who leans over Tamaki's head to grab it. She has a bright smile on her face.
"I'll carry that for you. I can hand it to you when we get back to the hotel alright?" I ask. She nods, directing the bear towards me. I put it in the large bag the guy gave me and take Tamaki's hand.
"Can we get food?" Eri asks enthusiastically. I look at Tamaki.
"A small treat won't do any harm" she agrees, looking around. I spot a stall.
"Eri. Ever tried a crepe?" I ask. She looks very confused.
"What's that?" she asks with a tilt of her head. I take a tighter hold of Tamaki's hand and lead her through the crowd until we reached the food stalls. I walked up to the stall and ordered three, handing over the yen to the guy. He hands us the food and we go and sit on a bench. Tamaki places Eri down on it, EMi scrambling to stay on her shoulders. She happily munches on her crepe while I look at Tamaki. She takes a bite.
"What do you think?"
"Very sweet" I laugh.
"Well that's how they work" I tell her, eating some of my own. She takes another bite, sitting back on the bench.
"This..... This is..... What's the word I'm looking for?" she Mumbles, looking up at the darkened sky.
"Fun?"
"No. I wouldn't use that word..... Ummm......... Slightly enjoyable" I snort out a laugh, nearly choking on food.
"That is the saddest way to phrase fun. Yes it was slightly enjoyable. That's what I would say to my dad if he ever took me on a family trip" I explain.
"Well, what I'm feeling is pretty muted so I'm going with that until I feel more than just a muted version of happiness" she explains. I look at the time on phone.
"We still have time. How about we go onto the feris wheel together. We could even bring Eri"
"We don't have a choice but to bring Eri. Hitoshi and Tamaki left us so there's no one else to watch her" Tamaki objects.
"Guess your right" she nods, hoisting up Eri and placing her on her shoulders, Emi climbing onto her shoulders before settling back in Eri's lap. I lead Tamaki over to the wheel, paying for tickets and stepping in line.
"You don't need to keep paying for everything"
"Why not. Its my dad's money" I reply. She goes quiet, looking ahead. The Line slowly disapates until its our turn to get on. I step in and help Tamaki up as she sits down and let's Eri sit down and look out the window at the view. Tamaki looks at her.
"Kinda feels like we're a family"
"You think?" she nods.
"You'd make a great mother some day?" her eyes widen and her face begins to turn red.
"No I wouldn't" she objects, shaking her head.
"You think because I see a kind and caring mother in you" I tell her, reaching forward and pushing hair out of her face. She looks into my eyes before turning away.
"I really don't think I'd be a good mother. I'm too broken for that"
"You're not broken. Your just hurting. You never were, are or will be broken. You just never knew how to handle everything that was going on in your head before"
"I don't think your getting it-"
"Tamaki, I'll never fully know how this trully effects you. Not to the full extent you do. No one knows better than you and no matter what you tell me I won't know the full story because I haven't experienced it like you but there's one thing I do know. I will help you. Not fix you because you were never broken in the first place. You just need help to take control again. You just got lost in your own head and now we're going to get you out of that maze together" I assure her, reaching out my hand and rubbing the side of her face. Tears form in her eyes.
"Why are you crying?"
"Thank you Shoto. Whenever you say those things-... It's really something that I needed to hear" she replies.
"I'll help to the best of my abilities"
"Thank you..... if... If it wasn't for you then..... I wouldn't be here right now" she thanks, looking me right in the eyes. I lean my forehead against hers.
"Its fine. I love you and I want to help" I reply. She nods with a small smile.
