Shoto's pov

I slowly creaked open the door behind the curtain, slipping behind it. I closed the door and turned to face the door, walking down the steps in case someone saw me. I stumbled on the last step, falling onto my back. I groaned. That hurt. I rolled onto my front, using my arms to lift myself up. That would probably bruise but it didn't seem like there was any major damage. I rubbed the dust from my eyes before looking around. It was pretty dark down here, the only light was a single candle that sat in a candle holder, one you could carry. An old mattress was near the candle and someone was on it. I looked and felt my mouth go dry. A teen was on the mattress, arms chained above their head and body curled up to the best of their ability. The moment I saw the thick mane of black hair I knew who I was looking at. My heart dropped. I scrambled over, kneeling next to her.
"Tamaki?" I asked, looking her over. She didn't have any clothes on and she was in a horrible state. She had scabbed up wounds all over her body below the neck, her arms were torn up, small bits of skin hanging off and blood crusting around it. There was 3 small, barely even noticeable on her neck which also had a very small amount of blood crusted on it. I felt the tears fall and hit her body. I placed one hand on her shoulder, pulling her as close as I could with the chains on her.
"Tamaki?" I asked again. She started squirming, entire body shaking.
"Hey its alright. Its me. Its Shoto. You're going to be alright" I assured her. She didn't stop, still struggled weakly. I tried rubbing one hand up her back. Didn't work. It made things worse. She started screaming, upper arms pressing to the sides of her head. I let go of her.
"Tamaki. Please calm down" I pleaded. She didn't calm down, just kept crying out. I heard heavy footsteps upstairs. The adults must have heard her screaming. I wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. Light flooded in when the door was slammed open. Someone ran down the stairs, kneeling next to me.
"Tamaki" he whispered. Mr Aizawa. He reached out, pulling one of the closer restraints on the chains, giving Tamaki more freedom to move. He pulled her in for a hug but she didn't calm down. She was still crying out, begging in words that were jumbled and incoherent.
"She needs a hospital" he explained, standing up. Present mic nodded, pulling out his phone and dialing an ambulance. Aizawa turned to Masahiko. He got up, stormed over and grabbed the collar of the guy's shirt.
"You bastard! What did you do to her?!" he snapped, yelling in Masahiko's face.
"What you gonna do? Kill me?" Masahiko taunted, showing no resemblance of fear on his face.
"Shota. Please calm down" Present mic insisted. Mr Aizawa threw the guy to the ground.
"You disgust me. It was you this whole time. This is exactly why I didn't want you anywhere near her" he snarled, hands closed in fists.
"Yet you asked me to take away the memories of her little friend. That seems to have caused more trouble than it solved. She's worse now. Because she couldn't remember why she was sad. I can't remove feelings Aizawa. She still felt like something was missing and look where that got you. A daughter who doesn't want to live anymore" he taunted, pushing himself to his feet. Mr Aizawa turned to the police officer.
"I want him convicted for kidnapping and physical assault. If there's anything else then add that to his sentence. I don't want to see him walking around freely ever again" he ordered. The police officer nodded nervously, taking the cuffs from his waist and putting them on Masahiko's wrists. An ambulance arrived and two doctors took Tamaki from the scene, with a lot of resistance from Tamaki. I looked around the room, finding Tamaki's torn clothes thrown into a pile on the floor. I found her phone. Picking it up, I looked at it. There was a crack in the corner that had not been there before. When I turned on her lock screen, there was a barrage of unread messages and voicemails. I looked at each one. Tears dripped down onto the screen of the phone. I was the first to read and listen to them. I looked up again, biting my lower lip to try and stop the tears from falling. Tamaki had been taken from the scene but that didn't mean I couldn't remember what she had looked like. Bleeding and broken. Blood was everywhere, including my clothes now after I had knelled on the ground, clutching onto Tamaki while crying. This wasn't fair for her.
