Shoto's pov
I walked through the corridor of the hospital towards Tamaki's room, holding a small rose I'd bought on the way. Before I reached her room though, I heard Mr Aizawa and a doctor talking outside the door. I ducked down behind some stacked up chairs and listened.
"You wanted to talk to me?" Mr Aizawa asked, looking at the doctor.
"Yes. It's about Ms Aizawa" he explained.
"Is she alright? Did something happen?" Mr Aizawa inquired, sounding panicked. I felt my stomach twist.
"No sir. She's fine however it's about her condition. It's believed that we've figured out what might be the issue" he explains.
"Then tell me already" Mr Aizawa snapped.
"Well, since Ms Aizawa is perfectly fine with you, Mr Todoroki and Mr Amajiki coming near her and being really close while she starts crying and screaming when a doctor or nurse comes in to check on her, we believe she might be afraid of anyone she doesn't know" he explained.
"Yeah. Social anxiety. Tamaki and Tamaki have it" Mr Aizawa objected. The doctor blinked.
"My son and daughter. Amajiki and Aizawa" he explains. "That is a condition yes but this isn't Social anxiety. It's more a fear of complete strangers harming her at every moment. It's why she's so frightened when any of our staff enter her room but she's overall calm with those she already knew before entering the hospital" the doctor explained.
"Will she recover? Surely that won't last forever" Mr Aizawa points out.
"Well, if our analysis is correct, she is suffering from PTSD. Its not going to be helped with how many underlying and mental health conditions that Ms Aizawa has" he explained, flicking through papers on his clipboard.
"So what do I do to help?" he asked.
"Usually I'd recommend a therapist however....... Do you know anyone who your daughter also knows that has a degree in mental health?" the doctor asked, looking towards Tamaki's room when he paused. Mr Aizawa shook his head.
"Well then, you'll have to find a Psychiatrist who could help and would be fine with someone Ms Aizawa trusts accompanying her" the doctor explains.
"Thanks" Mr Aizawa thanks before he turns to leave, hands shoved in his pockets. When the doctor and Mr Aizawa were gone, I came out from where I had been crouched and over to Tamaki's room. I entered the room to see her sat on her bed, staring at a bowl of soup that sat on the table that patients used. She looked up at me. I handed her the rose. She looked at it, running a finger over one of the petals.
"Thanks" she mumbled.
"So we having soup for lunch?" I jokingly ask to lighten her mood.
"Dad doesn't want me skipping meals anymore but according to the papers he left me, I'm not supposed to eat anything heavy or high in sugars and saturated fats. Apparently its because my metabolism isn't the best anymore due to how little I've been eating" she explained, gesturing to some scattered papers on her bed.
"So soup" I gesture, pointing to the soup.
"It has some noodles, veg and chicken in it but not a lot. Dad wanted me having a little substance in my meals and not just soup all the time" she explained.
"You've not even touched it" I pointed out, noticing the completly untouched spoon next to the bowl.
"I'm trying to get myself to eat it but it's hard because I don't want to at the same time" she explained. I tapped my lower lip.
"Want me to help?" I asked.
"How?" she looked confused, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, if you're having a hard time forcing yourself to eat then I could help by feeding you" I suggest.
"Isn't that weird?"
"No. You need help and I'm offering it to you" I object.
"Alright then" she pushes the bowl closer towards me. I pick up the spoon and do my best to get a little of everything. I lifted it up and offered it to Tamaki who hesitated for a few seconds before taking the spoon.
"Nice?" I ask. She nods. I smile. I help her with a few spoonfuls but then she starts to eat it on her own, finishing the bowl.
"I don't think I've eaten that much in one go since I was 6. Maybe 7 or 8" she explains, wiping her mouth with her arm.
"Nearly 10 years? Seriously?"
"Yeah. Things kinda got bad when I was pretty young" she stated awkwardly, fiddling with a loose bit of one of her bandages. I placed one hand on her shoulder. When she didn't flinch, I pulled her into a hug. She did tense up but she didn't pull away or try to get me to let go. I smiled slightly.
