Rahul and Sameer were watching a movie when the bell rang. Before Rahul could get up, Sameer was at the door.
"Kitni der laga di, Naina... kabse intezar kar raha tha... matlab kar rahe the hum dono." He beamed, seeing Naina at the door.
"Humein sirf do ghante lage hain." Naina pursed her lips.
"Wohi toh... poore do ghante laga diye tumne." Sameer stepped close to her.
"Main zara fresh hoke aati hun, Sonali." Naina gave him a weary look, going towards the room.
Sameer wanted to go after her but he could not do so without earning teasing from his friends.
"Sonali, tum bhi thak gayi hogi... thoda aaram kar lo." Rahul wrapped one hand around Sonali's shoulder.
"Haan, Naina bhi aaram kar legi... Sameer, tum bol do usse, fir shaam ko chai ke time milte hain." Sonali smiled at Sameer, walking out of the room.
Rahul followed her, showing two fingers to Sameer... to meet after two hours.
Sameer dashed to the room the moment they left.
Naina was still in the washroom. Her bag was lying on the table. There were a few shopping bags but he wasn't sure if it was a good idea to check without her consent.
A clicking sound made him turn to see her standing at the door, wiping her face.
"Do ghante... pata hai kitne lambe hote hain?" He pulled her, taking the towel and tossing it on the chair.
"Achha, mujhe toh pata nahi chala... time kahan udd gaya ahsaas hi nahi hua." She said with a straight face.
"Ahsaas nahi hua... aur yahan main ek ek second gin raha tha... Naina, tum mere bina maze se ghoom rahi thi? Tumne ek baar bhi miss nahi kiya mujhe?" He was dismayed.
She pressed her lips together and shook her head.
He left her instantly, turning his back to her, "Ek main hun jo yahan mara jaa raha hun aur ek tum ho jisse mujhse pyar hi nahi hai... zara bhi khyaal nahi aaya mera."
She let out a long exhale, knowing what he wanted.
"Sach kahun toh tumhara khyaal aaya toh tha ek baar par... " She walked towards the chair.
"Par... par kya?" He turned to look at her.
"Par fir main taiji ke baare mein sochne lagi." She said truthfully.
Sameer frowned, "Tum taiji ke liye mujhko bhool gayi?"
"Uss samay jo samaan khareed rahi thi woh dekh ke kya kahengi bas yehi khyaal aaya." Naina elaborated.
"Kyon, aisa kya liya hai tumne?" He raised one brow.
"Maine... Preeti ke liye kuch makeup ki cheezein, kuch top aur ek jeans bhi li hai... usko bohot pasand hai." She smiled innocently.
"Kuch mere liye bhi le aati." He was gloomy again.
"Tumhare liye? Tumne bataya hi nahi tumhe kya chahiye... pakka le aati." She gave a honeyed smile, tilting her head to the side.
He slipped his hands in pocket, walking slowly towards her, "Ab bata deta hun mujhe kya chahiye."
"Lekin ab toh main wapas aa gayi, Sameer... ab kaise la sakti hun?" She shrugged.
He reached close to her, eyes shining with mischief.
"Dekho Sameer, koi shararat nahi... abhi exams nahi hai ki padhne ke liye humein kamre mein hi rehna hai... woh log bahar wait kar rahe honge... abhi bahar chalo." She stepped back.
