Zak's point of view

It's a couple of weeks later and what can I say everything has been such a easy ride, Catherine (y/n) is now 24 weeks pregnant with little Sophia-Grace, and in about 3 weeks time it'll be mine and Cody's birthday. I can't believe Cody is turning 1 years old, he's grown so much in what feels like a short space of time. Then not long after it'll be mine and Catherine's (y/n) wedding day.

I'm so glad all of our plans are coming along so smoothly, it's such a relief when everything goes well. Amongst all of the excitement me and the guys are also working on another project.

We're filming a mini series in my house where me and the guys get to share our experiences and show never seen before footage to all of our viewers and look back on the evidence we have captured at our past investigations.

As me and the guys was preparing for another day of recording another episode all I wanted to do was spend some time with Catherine (y/n) and hold her in my arms. Even though we have spent a lot of time together at the end of the day everyday, it just doesn't feel like enough time together.

All morning Catherine (y/n) has been doing a lot of running around the house cleaning and tidying up a little and also looking after Cody. I have to admit I am a little worried about her, I don't want her to stress to much to cause harm to her and Sophia. As she came into the living room to get a couple of things I quickly but carefully grabbed her and wrapped my arms around her.

Zak: "baby stop a minute and slow down"

Catherine (y/n): "I'm OK baby, I'm just sorting some bits out so I don't disturb you guys when you are recording"

Zak: "don't worry about that beautiful, now if you let me can I hold you in my arms for a little while?"

She blushed slightly and I saw one of her beautiful smiles appear on her face.

Catherine (y/n): "of course I'll let you hold me Zak, I'll never stop you from holding me"

I kissed her tenderly and embraced her in my arms tight.

Zak: "I love you so much Catherine (y/n)"

Catherine (y/n): "I love you so much more Zak"

I kissed her again and carried on holding her in my arms.

Catherine (y/n): "what episode are you guys filming today?"

Zak: "Island of the dolls"

Catherine (y/n): "I love that episode and I found it funny when you and Aaron didn't want to get out of the boat"

Zak: "yeah that was pretty funny, but for real that island was way more scary at night than in the day"

Catherine (y/n): "I don't find dolls scary but some of them was creepy, especially the one that made a sound"

Zak: "there was no batteries in that doll at all"

Catherine (y/n): "that's why that one was even more creepy"

We both laughed a little and then I embraced Catherine (y/n) tighter in my arms. Just as I was about to kiss Catherine (y/n) again Devin came over to us.

Devin: "sorry to disturb you both, but Zak we're all ready for you"

Zak: "OK I'll be there now.... Sorry baby, but I promise you I'll spend more time with you again later"

Catherine (y/n): "it's OK baby, have fun...I love you"

Zak: "I love you more beautiful"

I reluctantly let go of my girl and headed off to film another episode with the guys.

Catherine's (y/n) point of view

As I watch Zak walk away I can tell he's feeling really down about not spending a lot of time with me and Cody. But especially time with just me, since him and the guys started the new mini series he hasn't spent a lot of time with me... Now I'm not ungrateful or anything as I love how hard working Zak is but I wish he could spend more time with me.

To make sure there wasn't any noise interference I decided to go for a walk with Cody and take Gracie for a walk. I strapped Cody in his stroller and hooked Gracie up on her lead and then we headed out.

We've been walking for a while now and I have to admit it felt nice to get outside and into the sun, we walked so far I ended up at the park. As Cody started to fuss for a bottle I got him out of the stroller and gave him his bottle. Then I gave Gracie a drink from her travel water bottle.

After a little while Cody fell asleep and I carefully put him back into the stroller and strapped him up. As I got busy strapping Cody up I didn't see or hear Meredith come up to me.

Meredith: "hey Catherine (y/n) what are you doing out here?"

Catherine (y/n): "oh hey Meredith I didn't see you sneak up, Zak and the rest of guys are recording a episode at the house so I thought I'd take Cody and Gracie out for a bit"

Meredith: "that's a great idea, plus there's no harm in getting out for a bit"

Catherine (y/n): "no that's what I thought"

Meredith: "Does Zak know you've gone out?"

Catherine (y/n): "no, I was just about to let him where I was. I was actually just about to head back now"

Meredith: "I can give you a lift if you want, I don't want you to do to much to harm yourself or Sophia"

As much as I don't mind walking back I'm grateful Meredith is offering a ride home.

Catherine (y/n): "that'll be great, thanks Meredith"

Meredith carefully lifted Cody out of the pushchair and held him whilst I got myself and Gracie into her car. Then she passed Cody over to me and then put the stroller in the trunk of her car.

10 minutes later we arrived home and she helped me with Cody's stroller whilst I got myself, Cody and Gracie out of the car and into the house.

After I put Cody down for his nap and sorted Gracie out me and Meredith started talking. I didn't have to say anything but I know she can tell I was feeling down about something.

Meredith: "what's wrong hunny you seem upset about something?"

Catherine (y/n): "oh its nothing, I'm just being silly"

Meredith: "is everything OK with you and Zak?"

I nodded.

Catherine (y/n): "yeah we're great, everything is great but..."

Meredith: "but what hunny?"

Catherine (y/n): "with Zak working on the mini-series we haven't had the chance to spend time together, and even if we have we both have been really tired to enjoy the evening together... I'm not ungrateful or anything and I love how hard working Zak is, but I wish we can have more time together"

Meredith: "aww sweetie it's normal to feel like that and I know it's not easy. He does work very hard but you're right you should spend time with just you two on your own.... If you want, I can have Cody for a couple of days so you and Zak can reconnect"

Catherine (y/n): "really?, I'll be grateful if you could but I don't want to cause any trouble for you"

Meredith: "Catherine (y/n), you won't cause any trouble. You're family now and I'll be happy to have Cody for you and Zak. I just want everything to be OK with you and Zak"

Catherine (y/n): "I promise you everything is and will be OK with me and Zak. You have nothing to worry about with us"

Meredith: "I'm glad to hear that, so how about you go and get Cody ready and I'll go and get bits Cody's bits ready for his sleep over".

Catherine (y/n): "thank you"

So with that I went to sort Cody out and enjoyed my cuddles with him before he left with Meredith to stay over hers for a couple of days. After Cody left I relaxed for a little bit and I texted Zak, knowing fully well he'll see my text.

Catherine (y/n): "Hey baby, can you come into the living room and see me please ❤️❤️❤️❤️ xxxxxxxx"
