Zak's point of view

Catherine (y/n) took a deep breath before she started telling me what she saw and what happened.....

Catherine (y/n): "I was just relaxing on the couch with Gracie after I spent time with her, when all of a sudden the atmosphere in the house changed and both me and Gracie sensed something was here.... Then Gracie started looking in certain areas and then growling. Then the energy seemed to disappear so I went into the other room and that's when I saw a tall dark shadow figure with bright red eyes staring at me".

As soon as Catherine (y/n) described what the figure looked like I can feel my body tensing up and I began to feel angry.

Catherine (y/n): "it just stared at me and I couldn't move, I then started telling it to leave me alone but it wouldn't go.. I became angry and yelled at it, then it charged at me, breaking the glass. I shut my eyes preparing for the attack but nothing came.... I ran to get my phone to tell you what just happened, then you arrived home"

I felt angry but also scared. Of all the time Catherine (y/n) has been living with me and been with me, we've never once had anything negative happen at home... Not spiritually. I've always cleansed us both after every investigation even after every visit at the museum.

We've been extra careful and protective, if not for us then we've always make sure not to bring anything home with us that can harm Cody and Sophia. I don't understand why are we being attacked now... What makes it worse its my girl who's being affected.

Catherine (y/n): "Zak?..... Please say something"

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at my girl. I couldn't say anything, I can feel myself starting to break down.

Zak: "I'm sorry baby"

Catherine (y/n): "what are you apologising for baby? it's not your fault none of this is your fault"

Zak: "I should have been here to protect you, help you... Kept you safe"

I walked over to the couch, sat down and put my head into my hands.

Catherine (y/n) followed closely behind and then I felt her wrap her arms around me.

Catherine (y/n): "Zak, it's OK... I'm OK, nothings going to happen to me"

I wrapped my arms around her tight, so tight if I squeezed her anymore I'd end up hurting her. But then Catherine (y/n) squeezed me tight to reassure me that she's really OK, and she's really safe.

I pulled away slightly and stroked her cheek with my hand.

Zak: "I promise baby, I'll always keep you safe.... Hopefully nothing won't ever happen... But if something was to happen I'll find anything and anyway in my power to help you, free you and bring you back to me. I won't be able to live without you, I need you here with me... I can't lose you to another spirit... I can't"

I can see tears starting to appear in her eyes, before she wrapped her arms around me again.

I just can't lose her again, not in anyway, shape or form.

Catherine (y/n): "Zak I can't promise you anything like that won't happen again. I took on that risk when I got with you and I've learnt to accept that it can happen to anyone of us. But I can promise you I'll do everything I can to fight it and to come back to you. I don't ever want to surrender to the darkness.. I am your light in your darkness, and in my time of darkness I need to you to be my light to guide me back home.... Please Zak... Please promise me you'll guide me back home to you"

My heart was bursting with pure love but also breaking in pain. I held Catherine's (y/n) hands tight in mine and vowed to her.

Zak: "I promise you Catherine (y/n), through your darkness I'll always lead you back home to me. I'll be your light"

As Catherine (y/n) smiled at me I saw a tear falling down her cheek. I gently brushed the tear away with my thumb and then I kissed her. I don't know what it is but mine and Catherine's (y/n) kiss seems different, it seems more passionate, its like our souls are begging and promising each other to always protect each other and to bring either one of us home in our time of need.

I deepen our kiss before I started trailing kisses all over Catherine's (y/n) body before kissing and gently biting her neck leaving little love bites, claiming her as MY wife and nothing will take her away from me, she's the love of my life and she belongs to me.

I deepened our kiss even more before I lifted Catherine (y/n) up and carrying her to our bedroom before gently laying her on our bed, where we spent the rest of the night in each others arms.... Safe, protected.
