Road Trip

** 4 months later **

Zak's point of view

Four months have gone past and we're now in four months into a new year. These last few months have been filled with alot of joy and precious family time making lots of memories. Cody and Sophia are growing up so fast Cody is now a very happy and cheeky 2 year old and Sophia is now 11 months old.

I have to admit Catherine (y/n) is doing a brilliant job raising our beautiful children especially when I go away for investigations, I know it's not easy to do everything on your own but shes still gets through it all. Obviously when I am home I'm always helping her looking after the kids and I'm always helping round the house too.

Catherine (y/n) deserves all the credit she can get, even though I always show her how much I appreciate everything she does I seriously need to show her more often how much I really appreciate her.

So for a treat I have decided to take her on a 2-3 weeks road trip all over the US to take her to all of the locations me and the guys have investigated. When I told her she was so happy as she has always wanted to have the chance to visit some of the places we have been to.

I know she's feeling a bit apprehensive about leaving Cody and Sophia for a few weeks but I have reassured her they'll both be safe with my family and we'll video call them everyday if we have to.

But now the time has come and tomorrow we will be leaving to start our road trip. I actually can't wait for this trip, I'll get to share all of my adventures with my beautiful wife. What's even better even the guys have agreed to come too, they couldn't wait to visit our old locations too.

** the next day **

Catherine's (y/n) point of view

Today's the day I've been looking forward to for as long as I can remember, I get to travel the US on a road trip and also get to see the places Zak and the guys have been to. What makes the trip perfect is its Zak himself and the guys taking me to all of these places. I seriously can't wait.

Zak has also promised that during this trip we'll also have a few camp outs. Even Aaron, Billy and Jay was looking forward to camping out a few times. After me and Zak was putting the last few bits into the storage part in the RV I got on the RV and was surprised to see Morgan with Jay.

I knew the guys was coming but I didn't know Zak had also arranged it for the girls to come too.

Morgan: "surprise!"

Catherine (y/n): "oh my god I didn't know you was coming too!"

I walked over and hugged my best friend.

Morgan: "yeah we're coming, Zak arranged it for us to come too"

I looked at Zak and smiled at him.

Zak: "I didn't want you to be the only girl on this trip"

I smiled at Zak more and walked over to him and gave him a big hug.

Catherine (y/n): "I love you so much Zak"

Zak: "I love you so much more baby"

So with that me, Zak, Jay and Morgan all sat down and got comfy for our journey.

** a few hours later **

Zak's point of view

Finally after a long day we arrived to our first destination, but as its late we're calling it a night and then go exploring around the next couple of days. Right now I couldn't wait to cuddle up in bed and hold my girl all night.

So after we all checked in we finally made our way up to our room, I unlocked the door and we both went inside. I went and sat on the bed then Catherine (y/n) followed me, but before she sat down I wrapped my arms around her waist and embraced her in my arms.

Zak: "did you like your surprise earlier baby?"

Catherine (y/n): "I loved it and I can't wait to see what our adventure has in store for us"

Zak: "I can't wait to see too baby, I just hope you'll love the trip and enjoy seeing all of the places I've been to"

Catherine (y/n): "don't worry baby I'll enjoy all of the trip and visiting all of the places you've been to"

** the next day **

The next day rolled by and today we was exploring our first location. Out of all the places me and the guys have been to I can only manage for us all to go to six locations. To start it all off, I'm taking my girl to where our first episode of our first series began... Bobby Mackey's. I haven't been in years and I have to admit it feels strange to be going back there, the last time me and Aaron came here was when Nick was still part of the crew.

On our way to Bobby Mackey's I kept getting flash backs from our investigations there, some good flash backs and also bad flash backs. As I was sitting next to Catherine (y/n) she can tell how I was feeling so she reached over and held my hand.

Catherine (y/n): "everything's going to be OK baby, we're not investigating it... Just having a tour"

I looked over at Catherine (y/n) and smiled at her slightly.

Zak: "I know baby, it's just the memories of this place and what happened on our investigations here"

Catherine (y/n) squeezed my hand again to reassure me and instantly I felt calm again. Soon enough we arrived aat Bobby Mackey's and we went inside for our tour.

Catherine's (y/n) point of view

The tour if Bobby Mackey's was great and it felt great to see where the very first season of Ghost Adventures started. Throughout the tour I noticed Zak was still reliving some memories of this place, I know he was excited to see the place again but I also knew he was feeling nervous. Soon enough the tour ended and Zak even had the chance to speak to Bobby again after all this time.

Seeing Zak talk to Bobby about their last visits was great and even seeing his smile made it all feel better.

Bobby Mackey: "its great to see you back here again Zak, how's life treated you?"

Zak: "it's great to be back and to see you again Bobby, life's been good. Bit difficult for a while but then everything changed for the better"

Zak looked over at me and smiled at me, that was my que to come over to him.

Bobby Mackey: "and who is this lovely young woman with you Zak?"

Zak: "this is my wife Catherine (y/n)"

I have to admit even after a while it still feels strange Zak introducing me as his wife. I couldn't help but smile at him and held his hand tight.

Bobby held his hand to me and shook my hand as he introduced himself to me.

Bobby Mackey: "it's nice to meet you Catherine (y/n), I'm Bobby"

Catherine (y/n): "it's nice to meet you too Bobby"

After talking a little bit more it was time to leave, but before we headed back to the hotel for the night we all went out for a meal together. As we finished the meal together all of the guys got busy talking and taking silly selfies together. I couldn't help but enjoy this moment and thought what a amazing start to our trip, I can't wait to see where this road trip takes us.
