Unexpected Labour

Catherine's (y/n) point of view

What can I say these last 6 weeks have been a dream and now we're at the end of May. Which means mine and Zak's wedding day is getting closer and closer and then a few weeks after that our little Sophia-Grace will be here. The plans and arrangements for our wedding is officially all done now it's just the bachelor and bachelorette party's to sort out.

We do know we're all going out for a meal and then on a ghost hunt together but it's just mine and the girls activities during the day to sort out.

During these last few weeks Zak has been a dream as always, he's been bonding with Cody and even spending time bonding with Sophia in her bump. I love family time and this to me is my perfect family time.

Zak: "how you feeling baby?"

Catherine (y/n): "I'm OK baby, just can't get comfortable at the moment"

Zak: "maybe our little girl is getting ready to meet us"

Catherine (y/n): "but shes not due for another 6 weeks"

I have to admit I was feeling nervous, I've been having signs of labour alot recently, but I'm only 34 weeks pregnant. I just hope she doesn't come early, she needs to stay snug inside for another 6 weeks. Zak can tell I'm feeling worried and he reassured me everything will be OK.

Zak: "everything is going to OK baby, I promise. But just know Sophia will come when she's ready, even if it is 6 weeks early. But I promise you everything will be OK and she'll be happy and healthy"

Then Zak wrapped his arms around me and reassured me everything will be OK. Thankfully we both can get a second opinion today as I've got a check up with the OBGYN this afternoon, I just hope everything is OK and Sophia is safe.

Zak's point of view

This afternoon came round to quick and it was time to take Catherine (y/n) to the OBGYN for her check up. I didn't want to worry Catherine (y/n) but I'm even feeling nervous for the check up and what she's going to say. Thankfully we didn't have to take Cody with us as my sister has come over to look after him, whilst we're at the check up.

Meredith: "hope everything goes well for you both, let me know what happens"

Catherine (y/n): "thanks Meredith we will and thank you for having Cody for us"

Meredith: "that's OK he's no trouble at all"

Zak: "I'll let you know how Catherine (y/n) gets on sis"

Meredith: "thank you, talk to you both soon"

So with that me and Catherine (y/n) got into the car and made our way to see the OBGYN. As we arrived at the hospital and sat down we had a 10 minute wait til we get to be seen. I looked over at Catherine (y/n) and noticed she's getting more fidgety than before.

Zak: "are you OK baby?"

Catherine (y/n): "I don't know, I'm getting strong tightnings"

Zak: "shit"

I stood up and ran to the desk and asked the receptionist to get some help.

Zak: "please you got to help me, I think my Fianceés in labour"

Receptionists: "OK, I'll just get a OBGYN"

Zak: "thanks"

I quickly returned back to Catherine (y/n) and noticed she's in pain. I held her hands and comforted her whilst she was in pain.

Catherine (y/n): "Zak I think Sophia's on her way"

Zak: "it's OK baby I'm right here, you're gonna be OK"

Watching Catherine (y/n) in pain and in discomfort made me feel helpless, I just want to take her pain away. I watched as she carefully stood up and started to gently pace to try and ease her pain, I wasn't ready to experience what was about to happen right in front of me to happen... Not right now anyway.

Catherine's (y/n) waters broke.

Catherine (y/n): "Zak!"

Zak: "oh god, it's OK baby I'm right here"

As Catherine (y/n) came over to sit down in the chair she started to have the urge to push.

Catherine (y/n): "baby... She's coming now"

I went into full on panic mode but I was very prepared to deliver Sophia into the world. After a couple of pushes little Sophia-Grace entered the world. As I took off my jacket and wrapped Sophia in it I had tears of joy in my eyes. I felt so proud of Catherine (y/n), I can't believe she just gave birth to our baby girl without any additional help.

Catherine (y/n) carefully held Sophia in her arms and comforted her as she cries in her arms. Then Catherine (y/n) looked at me with one of her beautiful smiles.

Catherine (y/n): "I can't believe it baby, you did it, you delivered our little girl"

Zak: "it was all you beautiful, I only helped a little"

Catherine (y/n): "you helped a lot baby"

Then I kissed her tenderly and then kissed Sophia. As I was about to kiss Catherine (y/n) again a OBGYN came out of her office after seeing another couple. I quickly grabbed her attention.

Zak: "hey help us over here my Fianceé just gave birth"

OBGYN: "Oh my god, quick let's get you sorted... The baby is tiny are you early?"

Catherine (y/n): "yeah she's 6 weeks early"

OBGYN: "OK let's get you both admitted and we'll check over your little girl"

The next few minutes became a blur and loads of doctors and other OBGYNs came rushing over to us and checked over Catherine (y/n) and the baby. Through the commotion Sophia started to become bad, and Catherine (y/n) started to panic.

Catherine (y/n): "where are you taking my baby!!?"

OBGYN: "she needs medical attention, you'll be able to see her again soon"

Again I fell into panic mode but I also started to get very over protective of Catherine (y/n) and Sophia.

Catherine's (y/n) point of view

Where are they taken my baby, I want my baby back. I started to panic really bad and Zak came over to me to try and calm me down.

Zak: "she'll be OK baby they need to make sure she's OK"

Catherine (y/n): "Zak go with her... Don't worry about me, go with Sophia"

Zak looked at me and I can see he's worried about me and Sophia. He wants to go with Sophia but he doesn't want to leave me.

OBGYN: "it's best that Zak stays with you, don't worry about your baby she's in great hands"

I wanted to believe her but I'm worried about Sophia, I just want to know if she's OK. Please let my baby be OK.
