Family Time

Zak's point of view

I have to admit I'm really excited about going to see Sophia, she's grown so much and is almost strong enough to come home. As we got to the hospital and found a parking spot I noticed my mom's car in the parking lot.

I really want to go in and see my little girl but I'm worried what would my mom say. Catherine (y/n) noticed that I was feeling worried as she also noticed my mom's car.

Catherine (y/n): "baby it's OK, she can't stop you from seeing your daughter"

Zak: "I know baby, it's just a after the conversation we had I don't know what she's gonna say"

Catherine (y/n): "baby everything is going to be fine, plus didn't you say she needs proof that we're happy together again"

Zak: "yeah, but after what she said about you I'm still mad at her"

Catherine (y/n) held my hand and squeezed it to reassure me.

Catherine (y/n): "it'll be OK baby, I promise"

I quickly leaned over to Catherine (y/n) and gave her a kiss before we all got out of the car. As we was getting closer to the ICU ward I was feeling nervous again so I held Catherine's (y/n) hand to try and calm myself down.

When we walked inside my mom instantly looked at us, I can tell she's happy to see us together but I can also tell she's still avoiding me. My mind was going off the track so to get my mind to calm down I went over to my little girl and held her in my arms.

She's gotten so big and looking more like her beautiful mom each and everyday.

Catherine's (y/n) point of view

As I was watching Zak bond with Sophia Nancy started talking to me.

Nancy: "so how have you been sweetheart?"

Oh you can't fool me with your nice words, I know exactly what you said to Zak about me. Is what the thoughts in my head was saying but I couldn't say that to her.

Catherine (y/n): "I'm very good now thank you, how have you been?"

Nancy: "not to bad thanks hunny"

Zak: "have you held Sophia today yet mom?"

Nancy: "yes I did Zak, I put her down about 30 minutes ago"

After she talked to Zak, he looked at me and I can see he feels a little bit hurt from the tone of voice Nancy just used on Zak, quite frankly I was angry. How could she be horrible to her own son.

Thomas (Zak's step dad): "hunny don't talk to Zak like that he was only being nice"

Nancy: "he's my son I can talk to him whatever way I want"

As I was holding Cody in my arms I took him over to see his sister, but before I did I looked at the OBGYN and she can tell I wanted Nancy out of the room and as far as away as possible.

OBGYN: "sorry to interrupt this family gathering but I'm asking you nicely can you leave the room please sir and ma'am"

Thomas (Zak's step dad): "of course, come on Nancy let's go and get a coffee"

So with that they both left the room, I went over to Zak and comforted him.

Catherine (y/n): "why didn't you say anything?"

Zak: "I didn't want to cause a issue and get us kicked out"

OBGYN: "sorry to be involved but for your information I wouldn't of kicked you out, I don't want to keep it from you but your mom was actually saying some horrible stuff about you two"
