Telling Everyone

Catherine's (y/n) point of view

Today's the day we tell our families the gender of our new little baby. As we wanted to tell our families together we planned on going round to Zak's mom's at 10am as that is 6pm in the UK. After a quick drive we finally arrived outside and we walked inside Zak's mom's house.

Zak: "hey everyone"

Nancy: "hello Zak and Catherine, how are you both?"

Zak: "we're great thanks mom"

Nancy: "did you two have a lovely evening yesterday and a great scan?"

Catherine (y/n): "yeah we had a lovely evening"

Nancy: "and the scan?"

Zak placed his hand on our baby bump and smiled.

Zak: "the baby is very happy and healthy"

Nancy: "that's great news"

Meredith came over to us holding Cody. I smiled when I saw Cody and I carefully took him from her, I've missed him so much.

Catherine (y/n): "hey Cody bear"

Meredith: "he's been fantastic"

Zak: "really, that's good to hear"

Nancy: "yeah, I love having him here and he's so funny to watch"

Catherine (y/n): "why, what did he do?"

Nancy: "he didn't do anything funny, it's just all of the things he was doing and how he was playing was the exact same that Zak did when he was the same age as Cody"

I smiled and thought to myself he is a mini version of his dad, there's no surprise he does the same things as Zak.

Zak: "well he is a mini version of me mom"

Nancy: "he sure is... Anyway you two when are we gonna find out what the baby is? "

Meredith: "yeah we're all excited"

Zak: "we'll show you soon, we want to video call Catherine's (y/n) family so they can find out the same time as you"

Nancy: "that's a lovely idea"

Catherine (y/n): "I'll video call them all now and then we can tell you our news"

So we all went into the living room and I called my family. As my mum answered I was so glad to see her and everyone else.

Karen (y/m/n): "Hi Catherine (y/n), Hi Zak"

Catherine (y/n): "hi mum"

Zak: "hi Karen (y/m/n)"

Karen (y/m/n): "are you all OK and are you telling us all the news on what the new baby is?"

Catherine (y/n): "we all OK and we sure are. We're even over Zak's mum's so everyone can find out together"

Karen (y/m/n): "that's a great idea"

Nancy popped into the frame to say hi to my mum

Nancy: "Hello Karen (y/m/n)"

Karen (y/m/n): "Hello Nancy, how are you?"

Nancy: "very well thank you, yourself?"

Karen (y/m/n): "I'm very well thank you. Excited to find out the sex of our new grandchild"

Nancy: "so are we, come on you two tell us all ready"

Zak: "OK mom we're just going to now"

I setted my phone down and asked my mum if they can all see me from where I was standing
