It's me again God,

With strict water restrictions now in place, I have been trying my best to get recycled water from the house to the garden, so it is not wasted. I have to admit, I love my garden and it's hard to see the grass dying but it would be even harder to watch my precious plants die! Despite the effort involved in having to carry heavy watering cans and buckets full of water, I am determine to bring life giving water to restore my plants after the hot dry days and keep them alive!

This task has made me think of You and the way You loved us all so much that You sent Jesus to rescue us, restore and renew us! You care about each soul and want to drench each person with Your life giving, refreshing Holy Spirit! When I think of all Jesus went through, I appreciate the fact that it took an enormous sacrifice to ensure that I would be able to live forever with You! You planned this long ago and I am so thankful to be able to read prophecies regarding this rescue mission, recorded hundreds of years before Jesus came:

"See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
The wild animals honor me,
the jackals and the owls,
because I provide water in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland,
to give drink to my people,
my chosen,
the people I formed for myself
that they may proclaim my praise."
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:19-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You for the life giving water of the Spirit I have received! There is nothing I want to do more than praise You for this wonderful gift! You are such an amazing, loving Father! I long to be continually refreshed by Your Spirit:

"As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?"
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭42:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I am thankful to just call out to You by faith and know that You will refresh me:

"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive."
‭‭John‬ ‭7:37-39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You for the river of life flowing out of me, because Jesus came!
Amen.
