It's me again God,

For many weeks now, our homes have been the place where many of us have spent the majority of our time. It's been where some have been working, sleeping, learning, eating, exercising and playing. While many have felt like prisoners in their own homes, in a sense home has been a physical refuge, keeping us safe from the virus of the century!

It's wonderful to turn to Psalm 91 and be reminded that You are our ultimate refuge! How blessed I am to be able to dwell in You!

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.""
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord I come right now to take shelter in You —there is no safer place! I put all my trust in You. Thank You for the many benefits that are mine when I come in faith to You:

"Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked."
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:3-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You for covering me with Your feathers today. With You, fear will not be a factor, no matter how bad things get in my world!

"If you say, "The Lord is my refuge," and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.""
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:9-16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

How wonderful it is to know that Your angels are guarding me always! Thank You for the promise that when I make my dwelling place in You, no harm will come near me, no disaster will come near my tent.

Thank You for being my rescuer and protector! All I need to remember is to acknowledge You and keep on calling on Your Name. Thank You for all the times that You have answered me when I have called on You in these past weeks.  I am so comforted to know You are with me right now, even in this time of trouble in the world.

Bless all who are struggling to deal with the many aspects of being locked in their homes at this time. May they reach out to You and find their true refuge.

In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
