It's me again God,
I love to turn to the Psalms of David because so often his songs about You reflect the cry of my own heart! As days go by and the pandemic worsens, it's increasingly evident that the only way to get through this time is to wait upon You and know that You are our Rock and salvation:
"Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be greatly moved.My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God.
Trust in Him at all times, you people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah"
Psalms 62:1-2, 5-8 NKJVLord I am so thankful that You have saved me from my sin but I also ask that You will be my refuge and defence, saving me from this virus. Bless my family and keep them safe. Give me the words to encourage others as I put my trust in You alone.
Lord let me remember today that I can pour out my heart to You in prayer at any time. Give me the strength I need as I take refuge in You. Thank You Saviour for being my safe place amid all the confusion and turmoil.
In Your Name I pray,
Amen.
