Making Time for God

23. Rain!

It's me again God,

Opening the blinds this morning was such a joy —You sent some rain last night!! Thank You for even the smallest shower as I'm sure the garden is rejoicing — the grass already looks greener! Yes, You provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland and You have heard our cries for rain! Lord, more and more I realise my total reliance upon Your provision of the basic necessities for life. In these past few weeks, with air quality so low due to raging bushfires, I have realised that every breath I breathe is a blessing! We all like to think of ourselves as independent but we are very much dependent on You!

There is nothing I can do today, but offer praise You Lord:

"Praise the Lord.
How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise him!

He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
