It's me again God,
It's been such a strange year so far. Bushfires ravaged our country for many months bringing loss and grief to many. Clouds of smoke and ash hung over our city, forcing many to stay indoors, so we were all affected in one way or another. Images of the devastation seemed to be etched in our minds as we also dealt with the ongoing effects of drought.
How precious it is, to recall that when we called on You in prayer, You came to our rescue and sent heavy rain, which eventually quenched the destructive flames! What a difference You make in our lives! Thank You that we can call on the Name of Jesus at any time and know there is great power there:
"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Philippians 2:9-11 NIVIt's so reassuring to know that Jesus has the Name above every other name! Whenever I call out 'Jesus', I can be sure that even all the evil forces will have to bow their knees! I have definitely found it to be true as often in the midst of worrying thoughts, I have spoken 'Jesus' and immediately there is a calmness in my mind, body and spirit! His Name conquers all!
Thank You Father for the finished work of the Cross! You have blessed us so much, by giving us the most precious gift of Your Son. I pray that the world will know that Jesus is now seated in the highest place in Heaven with You. He ascended forty days after His resurrection and is now interceding on our behalf! This is so reassuring in these difficult times when there are so many unknowns! Thank You Jesus for bringing my requests straight to Your Father on my behalf!
"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:31-39 NIVThank You Lord that I can come and pray at any time and be sure You are for me, not against me! Nothing can separate me from Your incredible love! I am so reassured that even this present trouble in our world, cannot keep me away from the love of Christ Jesus! He won the victory over the forces of darkness so I can walk in victory today! Thank You that I am more than a conqueror through Jesus! There is nothing that can happen today that will be too much to bear. Please help me to call on the Name of Jesus throughout the day. I call on You now Jesus and ask for Your healing and comfort for all who are suffering the effects of this pandemic. May they know that nothing can separate them from Your love!
Amen.
