Maxine's POV

I don't know how long I've been here. It could have been anything from a few hours to a few days. It felt like years.

Clifford had kept me chained to the wall. He was depriving me of blood. My senses were becoming weak as I became starved. I needed blood.

I could barely lift my head everytime he came into the room, demanding I looked at him. He would laugh everytime I failed.

My arms burned from the amount of times he dragged a sharp piece of wood across them. He did it slowly, making the pain ten times worse.

I heard the familiar sound of the door unlocking and then the sound of his heavy footsteps walking towards me.

"Rise and shine, sunshine." He said clapping his hands loudly. "I have some excellent news." He roughly grabbed me by the chin, lifting my head up to look at him. "I have something that will change your life and I do believe that you will thank me. So will Cheryl and Penelope...Maybe Penelope will be the most thankful."

This caught my attention.

"Bring her in."

I heard lighter footsteps and what appeared to be someone struggling. Clifford grabbed a chair and placed it in front of me. I watched as a young girl, who I remember from previous visits, sat someone with a bag over their head down.

The young girl gave me a sad look before removing the bag just as I couldn't hold my head up any longer.

"Oh come on now." Clifford said sadly. "I need you to watch this."

The girl walked towards me and gently lifted my head up. My eyes widened as I saw Margaery sat there looking both shocked and terrified.

"Maxine."

"M...Margaery."

"Everyone's looking for you, stay strong. They'll find you, don't give up." She said quickly before Clifford slapped her.

A new found energy burst inside of me as I pulled hard against the chains and showed off my fangs.

"Don't you fucking hurt her!" I warned.

Clifford knelt down and looked up at Margaery. "I don't wanna hurt her. I'm going to help her." He moved some hair out of her face and reached into his pocket, pulling out a syringe. "You see, vampires have pretty much ruined humans lives for centuries."

"They ruined my life the moment my parents were killed."

I turned my head slightly to see Nick walking towards me.

"May I?" He asked looking at Clifford who nodded his head.

I let out a cough as Nick landed hard punches into my stomach. I gasped for air as his next punch knocked the air out my lungs. He smirked as began to punch my face.

"Enough." Clifford said sternly. "She needs to see this." He injected the syringe deep into Margaery's arm. "I have created a cure." He grinned. "A cure for vampireism. See, this will reverse everything. You lose all abilities. Lose the hunger for blood...You will age...The only catch is, you immediatly age to however old you should be...My cure is aimed to help the newer vampires...While on older ones....You die."

Suddenly, Margaery began to scream, instead of aging, her skin started to turn red, bright red as if she was burning.

"What the hell?" Clifford said confused as he pulled Nick away.

"Margaery!" I cried.

Her skin began to blister, her eyes began to bleed. She stared into my eyes and then...Her body was limp.

I began to shake with anger, Clifford and Nick just stood there confused.

"Hm. Interesting." Clifford said as he grabbed a glove and placed his hand inside as he began to inspect Margaery's body. "The burns...They look reversed."

"What do you mean?" Nick asked.

"She burned from the inside out." He replied standing up. "Come with me."

Clifford and Nick were about to walk out when Clifford stopped to give the girl some orders.

"Get this cleaned up." He said sternly. "Oh and Topaz, give her something to eat, I don't want her dead. Yet."

"Sure, Clifford." She replied.

The two men left the room and Topaz began the work of sorting Margaery's body up.

I needed to get out of here, I needed a plan.

"H-Hey."

Topaz stopped moving Margaery's body and looked over her shoulder. "Hey."

"Come...Come here, I can't...Breathe." I said as I spat some blood out of my mouth.

"That's a lie." Topaz replied in a bored tone.

I needed to get her closer. I began to pull on the chains weakly, hoping they were weaker than me. I groaned and that caught her attention again.

"Stop that." She warned.

I stared into her eyes and continued to pull the chains.

"I said stop that." She said walking towards me.

I was surprised when one of the chains became loose but Topaz was quicker than me so I couldn't take advantage of it.

As she reached to tighten the chains, I bit hard on her neck, she screamed as I began to drain her blood, feeling myself become stronger, my hunger dying down.

Topaz managed to break free but so did I. I smirked as she fell to the ground, covering her neck as she began to bleed out.

"Maxine." She called out weakly. "If you're leaving me here to die, tell Cheryl I love her...And..That I'm sorry."

I looked at her in confusion. How did she know Cheryl. I tilted my head to the side as I knelt down.

"How do you know Cheryl?" I asked pulling her by the hair, watching as she was slowly dying. "Who are you?!" I asked desperate.

"T-Toni."

My eyes widened as Toni began to slowly die. I quickly bit my wrist and fed Toni my blood. Her breathing had stopped so I hoped I wasn't too late. I couln't save her, not really.

All I could do was turn her into a vampire.

"Shit."

I turned around when I heard Nick's voice and before either one of us could react, I was shot in the stomach with a wooden bullet. Clifford stood there, angry and horrified.

"You stupid bitch." He hissed walking towards me. He pulled me up by the hair and him, along with Nick chained me to the wall again.

"You're going to pay for this."

And I did. That night consisted of me getting beat with whatever wooden weapons they had.

God, I just wanted them to kill me...Why couldn't they just kill me?!
