Lu Yu Shen's PoV~

After having a cold shower, Kaiden once again phonecalled me.

"Bro, we found the base of that Mafia group here in the country. They are eliminating new companies, probably growing companies. I'm afraid they will target Yīnfēng."

I bowed my head before replying "Command the 1st team to prepare for the plan A."

"Sure. Lu Corporation is their last target, by then, they have the total amount of people they need."

"Mm."

I hung up the call afterwards and took a piece of cigarette.

5 years ago, the Lu Clan decided to eliminate the Mafia Groups in the East. They are blocking the growth of every company, Lu Corporation is no exception.

We have 5 branches outside the country-- China, Japan, Europe, London and Philippines-- while here, is the Headquarters of Lu Corporation.

Me and Zhixin are the direct successor of Lu Corp HQ, but since I'm older than Zhixin and he doesn't want to do business, I took the responsibility to manage the company that Dad left to us. With that, I also have to manage and lead the whole Lu Clan inside and outside the country.

The five leaders of the five branches agreed to fight with the 6 mafia groups and ask me to be the lead. We fought them head on, and the result is what we are aiming for, we won.

In the battle against the Mafias, guns and bombs, swords and kusarigamas, fist and kicks, many of our people died, including the successors of Lu Wei of Philippines, that's why I'm handling both that branch and the HQ.

After eliminating the Mafias, our company started to grow and prosper, the empire expands greatly even beyond my expectations. But we forgot an important thing  because we are too overjoyed, we didn't confirm the deaths of the two leaders when they went missing. We thought our people can't just recognize their bodies after the big explosion on their bases.

And now, they're back.

They won't come back unprepared .. so another battle will surely break out soon.

I was thinking about the enemy's next move when all the lights suddenly turned off. Power outage? It's kinda unusual. I laid in bed and prepared to sleep when I heard a deafening scream of a woman.

I widened my eyes and instantly went out of my room. I took out the gun I always have with me wherever I go, even in bed and opened the door of her room opposite mine.

"Elyan?" I whispered.

I walk to the direction of her bed. I can't see anything, it's so dark. Her curtains are blocking the moonlight from coming inside her room.

When I was about to call her name again, she suddenly hugged me from behind. Her whole body is trembling in fear "Don't turn around, just let me hug you like this. Please stay here." She said.

She's crying?

"I have Nyctophobia, especially when I'm in a closed space." She added.

"I see, let's sit on your bed."

We sat on her bed silently, my heart is racing and I can't do anything to it .. She is hugging me from behind, and I can feel her hot breath.

"When did it started?" I asked her to divert my attention to something else.

"During childhood. Whenever there's power outage, I'll spend the whole night awake. I also have Nyctohylophobia, it happened when we had an educational tour." She answered, her body finally stopped trembling.
