Chapter 8 - The demon king failed at cooking

I can't take my eyes off her, she looks so damn adorable. Like a little housewife preparing foods before her husband came home.

What am I thinking? Just a while more and I'll get out of here.

I was about to turn my back and walk away so she could not see me, but Grandmother came out from nowhere. She held my arm and spoke loudly like she's afraid that the stupid woman won't hear her "Hey! How come you're back, my dear grandson? And you're looking at her for 5 whole minutes now, are your eyes full?"

Damnit!

Elyan carefully walked out of the kitchen while grandma is talking, and hurriedly went upstairs.

"Don't spout nonsense, grandma." I told grandmother.

Several minutes have passed, grandmother went upstairs to call that woman for dinner but she's taking so long. I bet that woman doesn't want to eat with me, fine then, I'll just stay outside for a while.

After graduating in high school, she eventually accepted lots of jobs, working full-time and part-time. Same as when she set foot here in America. She works full-time at a restaurant, part-time at a grocery store, delivering foods that ordered through online every time she had a day off, accepting typing jobs and pencil sketching.

She suddenly stopped working for 2 weeks and 4 days, the reason is unknown. But someone saw her visiting Ms. Alicia Davidson's condo unit, as well as Prosperous Corporation.

A week ago, she became short of money because her mother got in an accident so she began working again at a flower shop, dishwasher at a cafe, and waitress at a ... Bar.

So that was when I first encounter her. I thought.

Her mother has a Heart Arrythmia, a kind of heart disease. Needs to take 4 kinds of medicine 3 times a day because of a weak heart.

I didn't noticed that my hand holding the investigation result clenched tightly. I misunderstood her all along.

But why is she visiting Alicia Davidson's unit, and Prosperous Corporation?

Come to think of it. When I saw her with my brother, they didn't gave the same look with each other. Zhixin's eyes are full of emotions, while her eyes looks calm but I don't see happiness from them. Where did I saw them again? I think I should find it out tomorrow.

I've finished 3 Treasurer cigarettes before going back inside.

Looks like they're done eating dinner.

I went straight to the kitchen and look for the foods that they have left for me and found pork adobo, chinese style chicken soup, chopsuey and crispy fried fish.

It picked my appetite, seriously.

Maaga ulit akong gumising ngayon, iniiwasan ko kasing makita yung apo ni Mrs. Xin, baka kung ano na naman ang sabihin niya sa'kin.

Dumiretso ako sa kusina at binuksan ang ref ..

Walang pagkain?

Tiningnan ko naman ang mga kaldero na pinaglutuan ko kagabi dahil sigurado akong may tinira din ako dito, ngunit ng buksan ko ito ...
