Ryker Movaria

Ryker hurries down the grand hall, looking around to make sure he wasn't being followed. If anyone finds out that he's doing this, he's going to be in big trouble. Bigger than the yacht incident... don't ask.

Ryker makes it to the 'meeting room' and knocks the code. It seems silly. It's like he's a spy. Hiding in secrets, not letting anyone in. At least that's what he feels. He has been meeting with this group, Black Winter for a little bit now. Besides his twin brother, no one else knows and it feels like it's eating him up inside.

The door opens a crack just enough to let Ryker slip in. When his eyes adjust to the darkness, he sees two men playing chess and two other people, discussing what seems like plans. A couple of guards stand at each corner. Boxes are set out with letters stamped on them. B. W. Probably stands for the group name, Black Winter. Ryker thinks it's too much, but everyone else likes it.

" Ah, there he is, the man of the hour!" Ryker's father's, the King, advisor, George Thatcher. He is a big man, with a potbelly, bald head and a full beard. Ryker always knew that George was a sketchy man growing up, always whispering into his father's ear, tricking him. Now that Ryker's here, he knows why he thought that. Because George has different plans for the Movaria Kingdom, one that quite frankly, Ryker agrees with. The rest of his family are just cowards for not taking action. George split off secretly from the king and started this group.

" My young prince, how grateful we are to see that you have followed through on your decision." George must've been talking about Ryker's twin brother, William.

" As I have said before, my brother does not wish to be apart of our antics, but he will help us fund our experiments and our goals." Ryker lies, hoping that George won't notice. George waves him off.

Two men, disguised as guards, came to William and Ryker, and secretly asked them about wanting to help their kingdom rise back up in power. They were equally interested, and they were planning on coming together, but the more and more they heard about the meeting, the more William resisted.

Will and Ryker had a fight earlier today. He argued that Black Winter are not fighting the right way, that it's inhumane. But isn't that what sacrifice is for? What war is for? So that you can protect and raise your kingdom?

Ryker refused to be apart of Black Winter, but Ryker knew they would kill him if he refused, so Ryker told George he would be one of their many benefactors. Thankfully, it worked.

George turns his attention to the chessboard. He is so close to beating his opponent, but there is something in his way. He moves a pawn toward the king. His opponent smiles, and moves his king forward, taking out the pawn.

George lip lifts in an evil smirk and moves his queen, trapping the king in its deadly state.

" Checkmate my friend." George smiles. The other guy looks and looks until he finds his mistake. George chuckles.

" Ah, well everyone, I'm sure you know Prince Ryker Movaria. You must pay him your respects because this young man is going to help us win this battle." George puts his arm around Ryker's shoulders and leads him to the war table.

Ryker notices the geography immediately. The majestic mountains and overflowing fields. He knows from a glance that this is Andorai. Their enemy. At least that's what he's heard. That they only keep their goods for themselves. Sounds doubtful though. They are a peaceful country.

" If I must ask, why is there the map of Andorai?" Ryker asks, trying his best to sound confident and not curious.

" Well, your highness," he hates it when people call him that, " the only way we can prove ourselves and better our country and others in the process, is to get rid of them first." Ryker mouth drops open. They plan to do what?

" The first thing you want to do is to attack the richest and the finest kingdom in the world?" Ryker snaps. Ryker and William are the heir to the throne, even though Will is the oldest. They were both raised in strategic and war affair classes growing up. In fact, Ryker was in the latest war about 7 years ago. He knows a thing or two about war. And going against our most powerful and most hated enemy kingdom is not the way to go.

" They are actually weak, we have people on the inside bring back information on their military status. Pff, I'll just say that if they were chickens, we wouldn't need to cut off their heads, they are already gone. They wander around aimlessly and stupid as a bunch of dandelions." George talks in metaphors.

" So if you're so smart, what's our plan of attack? Do we head for the mountains, go for surprise attack, or a head on charge?" Ryker tries to smart talk him, hoping that they will take a more strategic route and go for the smaller kingdoms. He can't believe that he is already thinking about this. When he was in the war, he saw homes destroyed, families torn apart from death and from the war. He promised himself that he would never be apart of something like that again.

        But.

If Ryker does this, and brings Movaria to the top, with him as king, we will be able to provide for everyone. Everyone will have a home. No one will have to suffer. That's why Ryker signed up for this, to make the world a better place.

George smirks and give him a look.

" It will take a while, but we have something. A weapon. We will place people undercover to use the weapon here." George places his finger on the map. Ryker squints his eyes, trying to figure out where George cherry picked a town of his choosing. Probably where the rich and privileged live. George then firmly grasps his shoulder.

" Don't worry. Your kingdom will remember you as King Ryker, the one to lead them to victory and prosperity." George and the rest of the men left the room. Ryker glances at the map, looking where George put his finger. The place where this dangerous weapon will soon devestate Andorai.

He looks closely at the name and repeats it over and over in his head. The first place of their victory and Andorai's first place of defeat.

A small city by the name of Caper.
