Being an assasin may seem like fun and games, but every game has rules.
Rule One don't get caught, don't let them figure out your mission.
Rule Two, be merciless, and show no fear.
And the most important rule of all... d...
6 months has past since Ryker's first meeting with Black Winter in the palace. The weapon was released and slowly but surely, they are seeing their victory. More and more people are getting sick. When Ryker first learned what the weapon was, he hesitated. Fighting with that type of weapon was unfair and could obliterate the entire kingdom. And many more. But if this is the way for them to win... Ryker is on board. Maybe. He doesn't know. It's complicated.
There's a reason William left. He knew that something was not right. He always had that instinct. Always the perfect child. It drove Ryker nuts. However, William lacked vision. He couldn't see the bigger picture.
Ryker did.
Ryker looks out his cars window and gazes at the majestic mountains. Full of snow at the tips, but lush and green at the bottom. Even though Ryker was raised to hate the Andorai kingdom, he always had a secret love for it. The beauty it enhances, and simplicity, no chaos.
Ryker's thoughts get interrupted as he sees smoke rising in the middle of the canyon, mostly likely where the abandon mining camp is. George, the leader of Black Winter and the king's advisor, found the abandon mining camp while searching for a place to drop the weapon. It was the perfect place. He said no one has been in those woods since the mine collapsed and killed 17 miners. It was all theirs. Ryker hasn't seen it yet, but he was excited. Excited to see how the whole system worked.
Ryker's attention turns back to the driver who makes a sharp turn. The mountains disappear from his view as they are taken deeper into the forest. The road gets a bit bumpy, and Ryker bangs his head on the top of the car.
" I'm sorry, Your Highness. I assure you that I did not plan for that to happen, or for this road to be so deleterious." The driver mumbles. Ryker huffs out a breath. Because he's a prince, everyone expects him to be so opposed to filth and, metaphorically and literally, taking the dirt road. But he finds it fascinating. Anything to get out of the study for a few hours. Or to get his parents off his back, same goes for his brother.
Ever since their fight about the meeting, they have never been the same. Their simple quarrels become heated arguments, and they don't joke around as much as they used too.
" We have arrived, Your Highness." The driver announces.
" Finally." Ryker mutters underneath his breath. This guy drives slower than his grandmother, may she Rest In Peace.
Ryker hops out and sees the bottom of a mountain. No one around us. Now Ryker is confused. He looks around. Where's the entrance, and all the men and tents?
Ryker hears a scratching sound and looks back at the mountain. A crevice is widening. Ryker stands there in shock as the mountain reveals a cave and standing in the middle of it, is Sir George Thatcher.
" Welcome to the Camp Of Malady, Your Highness." George announces.
