William Movaria
The town is full of people. People with the same clothes, the same expressions. Screaming, smiling, and some crying at the sight of The Movarian Royal Family. Will's parents are in the back, Ryker and Will are on the side while all of the sisters are in the middle.
No doubt their kingdom is big, but they have some sort of hierarchy. The lower class stay outside of the wall. Whereas the rich and privileged live inside the circle, close to the castle. Will finds it ridiculous. They are setting ourselves next to the 'better' part of the kingdom. As if only a couple of their subjects are worth being in their kingdom.
When Will was a teenager, he would hop from roof to roof trying to climb the wall. One day he did, and he did not like what he saw. It looked as if the houses would collapse at any moment.
Even though the war was going on, Will did everything in his power to have the wall torn down. When that did nothing, he took the money for a better living situation. He hasn't had the time to go see how everyone is doing.
Will feels the float stop as they come close to the podium. Will clears his throat, getting ready for his part coming up. He has to pretend to be happy to be here.
To be happy to announce away his freedom and future choices.
He has to pretend.
Will's mother and father say a few words, welcoming everyone to the parade. He's positive that everyone knows what's going on. Will's annoyance spikes as he knows that he's announcing what they already know.
Man, Will's such a pain.
Ryker bumps Will's shoulder and has his eyebrows arched. Will uses their 'twin telepathy' or just good ol' observation, and Ryker seems to ask what's wrong?
Will rolls his eyes and shrugs his shoulders, telling Ryker to not worry about it.
" And now, your star princes!" Will's mother announces. The crowd erupts into a cheer, louder than when his parents came up to speak. They raise their hands in the air, telling everyone hello.
" Hello, Movaria! We are excited to be here today, for we have some exciting news!" Ryker tells everyone through the microphone. Will is sure that their subjects can't tell the difference, but Will knows what sounds rehearsed and fake. And that sounded like it.
" As you have probably heard, my brother and I are of marrying age." Some screams from girls and even some guys came out from the crowd. They pretend to sush them, playing along.
Man, Will hates this.
" And we can't be bums for the rest of our lives, so we have called in our allies, and they are sending some of their daughters to see if they have a chance." Will winks. A scary harmonious laughter responds. Ryker laughs along with them, then continues,
" And of course, we have to give our kingdom a chance, so one lucky girl from our kingdom can enter." Will's ear seems to lose all hearing as the crowd comes alive. The excitement is everywhere.They try to calm down everyone, but the crowd is too busy freaking out. Will gave up and shrugs at Ryker.
