Blindfold
Christina McKenzieChris goes through her technique one more time. Punch, pull, knee, and push off. It's a lot easier to practice with someone else, but she doesn't have any friends here, and her sparring partner is gone. Man, she misses her sister so much.
And, Chris admits, she was jealous when Kayline got called off on her own mission. They've done everything together, and Chris feels as though she's ready enough to go out on the field by herself. No one, expect Kay of course, can take Chris down. She's rock solid.
The academy is a little more difficult to work out without Kayline. Since Kayline is two years older than Chris, she has technically been here 'longer' than her, but she feel as though the academy doesnt take her as serious when Kayline is not with her.
She doesn't want to be like very single boring agent in here, but she wants to be seen as reliable and powerful. Even though everyone knows that she can kick their butt, they know she won't. Huh, sometimes kindness is curse. Chris rolls her eyes and tries her best to remember her technique.
Chris grabs a blindfold from her bag and wraps it around her head. She goes through the movements in her head. It's said that your subconscious does not like the falsehood between your situation and your visualization of the situation. So, it does everything in it's power to make your visualization a reality. Making you stronger and smarter in the process. Chris goes through the movements a couple more times before she feels a body go against her arms. Chris smirks. Finally. An opponent.
Chris keeps her blindfold on and continues to fight her mysterious partner. Because Chris' sight has been dimmed, her other senses have been heightened. She senses her enemy put weight on their left foot, based on the sound and the feel of the mat. She goes for the right, hoping to catch them off guard. It did. She feels them fall over. The only thing she sees is darkness and a feeling of instinct. She feels the mat dip behind her so she moves out of the way, just in time for a new enemy to enter the fight.
Base on the persons weight, she's assuming it's girl. Before the girl could pass her all the way, Chris grabs what she believes to be her arm and wrenches it behind her back. She hears a cry from the first opponent, revealing it to be a guy.
Still holding onto the girl's arm, Chris kicks her first opponent in the stomach. Or she thought it was his stomach. After a shrug, she throws her leg even higher and hit his face. She feels the mat bounce, probably due to the fact that he fell over.
Getting bored with arm girl, Chris throws her to the side. She finally unties her blindfold and finds a pretty buff man, and an agile woman lying on the floor. They don't seem familiar to her. She looks closer. They don't look that strong either. Something catches the corner of her eye. She sees a group of kids her age, trying to contain their laughter. Oh my gosh, these kids probably dared these guys to attack her. Well at least they know, who can beat them at anytime.
Chris walks up to the kids on the ground, and try to help them up. But they get up themselves and quickly run away. Scaredy-cats. Chris is just too good. She chuckles to herself and walks over to her duffle bag, planning on calling it a day.
As soon as Chris walks out of the elevator, and makes her way to her room, her phone buzzes. Chris scrambles through her duffle bag and answers.
" Christina here." Chris always thought it was funny, that even though she's a spy, she still answers her phone telling them exactly who she is. But then again, this is her personal phone. If anything of hers is personal for that matter.
" Christina, oh thank goodness you answered!" A familiar voice emanated from her phone. Chris stops in the hallway, looking around to make sure no one was around to hear. The voice of Chris' sister stops her heart and her blood starts pumping.
" Kay? What are you doing? You are not allowed to call me! Especially on a mission! Your going against protocol." Chris whisper slash yells at her sister. Chris gasps dramatically.
" Your going against protocol! Who are you and what have you done to my sister?" Chris teases across the phone.
" Oh my gosh, get over yourself Chris. I've got a major problem, and I'm going to need your help." Kay's voice sounds the same, but Chris can sense something else behind it. It sounds like fear. Chris doesn't need to think about anything. Screw protocol. She's going to help her sister.
" I'm in. Where are you?" Chris replies, never being so sure of herself.
