Kay stands up off of Edna and looks to see Noah awake. He is still on the floor, leaning on his right arm, but looking at her. His face is unreadable. Kay can't tell what he is thinking and she doesn't think she wants to know. Magdalene is kneeling next to him, holding him close. Kay figured that after what she just did, Magdalene would be screaming away with fear. But instead, she runs straight towards Kay and hugs her.
" I was so worried that she was going to hurt you!" She says. Kay kneels down to hug her better. She wraps her cold arms around Kay's neck, and Kay holds her gently in her arms.
" She was never going to hurt me. I was just worried about you, Magdalene." She leans away and holds Kay's face in her hands. She moves her hands underneath her long sleeves t shirt and tires to wipe away the blood on Kay's face. Kay chuckles and moves her hand away.
" It's okay, Magdalene. I"ll clean it later." Magdalene wraps Kay in a hug one more time.
" Thank you for saving me." Magdalene whispers. Kay hugs her tighter, but not by that much.
" Maggie?" Kay hears someone say. They turn around to see Tracy carrying groceries. She drops them to the floor and puts her hands over mouth. Rather than crying, like she usually does, she runs up to Magdalene and holds her in her arms. She squeezes Magdalene so hard, Kayline thought she was going to pop. Tracy then realizes that her daughter is weak and loosens her grip.
" Oh my baby, oh my sweet sweet baby!" Seeing her mom probably triggered Magdalene's tears. A mother and daughter relationship is probably one of the most important of them all. Maybe that's why Chris and Kay turned out so... challenged. Noah walks up to Kay with a big bump on his forehead. Kay couldn't help but laugh at the sight of him. But then again, Noah can say the same thing about her, which he does.
" Ya got something there. Isn't your nose supposed to be in the other direction?" Kay wipes off the blood and cracks her nose back to the proper position. Noah shivers and makes a face. Kay chuckles.
" Grow up." Kay say. Just then the door bursts open, revealing Her Majesty and The Boss.
