Five years ago, a prophecy concerning the Mikaelson siblings had been fulfilled. Finn had died, for good this time, Freya had been poisoned, Rebekah had been hexed and Kol and Elijah had found themselves infected with a bite that had the power to kill them. Having ran out of options to save the two Mikaelson brother's, Freya bound all her siblings' lives to Klaus who sacrificed himself to save his family.

For five years, Klaus had been suffering at the hands of Marcel whilst his family slept, slowly dying as a result of their ailments. For those five years, Thea had been out searching the earth to find a cure to save her family so that she could rescue her husband. In the middle of raising her two now 7-year-old children, the hybrid had, with the help of Hayley, tracked down 6 of the werewolf packs needed to make the cure to save Kol and Elijah.

Two years ago, Thea Mikaelson returned to Mystic Falls to gain the help of her two goddaughters. Thanks to Lizzie and Josie, the hybrid had managed to cure Rebekah of her hex whilst also taking a little time to reconnect with her first family. Thea introduced her two children to the other half of their family, and the group spent a short few months catching up and saving the world.

Two years ago, Stefan Salvatore gave his life to ensure the destruction of Hell and Katherine Pierce. There wasn't a day that went by that Thea didn't think of the Salvatore and the friendship the two had, and the brunette ensured that both her children remembered their godfather and his bravery. Since then, Thea had returned to her usual life, fighting to save the Mikaelson family and raising her two beautiful children.

Rebekah was now cured, and Thea had the cure ready to save Freya. All she needed now was to track down the last remaining wolf pack so that she could wake the Mikaelson witch, and they could save the rest of their family. After five years of endless torment, heartache and the pain of not having her husband by her side, Thea was finally one last remaining step away from rescuing Klaus and having her family back together.

And Thea swore that she would tear through anything that got in her way. That she would not stop, nor rest, until each of them were back together again. Family first. Always, and forever.

"Mom?" Hope's voice called out with a frustrated tone, capturing Thea's attention as she turned to look at her 7-year-old daughter who had been colouring, but was now glaring at her twin brother. "Hmm?" the brunette hummed, her brows furrowed as she placed her phone down on the kitchen table, looking at her daughter in confusion.
