'violence is an energy
against the enemy'

Hope was stood in the middle of the courtyard with Klaus stood in front of her as Kaiden sat at the table to the left of them. The younger twin had his feet propped up on the table-top reading Romeo and Juliet whilst Hope used her magic to throw their father across the courtyard, sending him crashing into another table behind them.

With the Hollow's power slowly beginning to suffocate the twins and the only known cure to be rid of it being violence, Klaus had insisted that both his children use whatever anger they harbored on him. He was, after all, immortal and could take the brunt of their dark magic. Kaiden had refused, instead opting to quieten the whispers the best way he knew how.

Whilst reading didn't quieten the Hollow's whispers or ease the hum of the dark magic running through his veins, it did help to remove him from reality. Reading helped the young teen forget the danger he and his family were in and the loss they'd all suffered and instead, placed him in the shoes of someone else. He was a voyager in someone else's story - someone else's heartache and misery which deflected his own.

Klaus groaned as he stood up, "do it again," the hybrid ordered, looking directly at Hope as he panted heavily, "harder this time." Hope looked at him stunned, not wanting to hurt her father but also knowing it was the only way to settle the Hollow's tormenting whispers. "All that pain, that simmering darkness," Klaus continued encouragingly, forcing Hope to look at him as she tried to ignore the whispers in her head, "you need to purge it before it eats you alive."

Hope shook her head adamantly, "dad-" the tribrid began to refuse, grabbing her head as the Hollow's whispers turned into harsh murmurs. "Give me your anger!" Klaus yelled with a scowl on his face, trying his best to anger his daughter, and his feat was not in vain. With an angered and almost pained yell, Hope thrust her arms out, magically throwing Klaus against the back wall, breathing heavily with a sense of guilt as she watched her dad crumple to the floor.

Klaus panted, leaning against the wall for a few moments as blood dripped from a wound on his forehead. "It's not working!" Hope yelled in frustration, her eyes moving from her father to her brother who seemed to be handling the dark magic a lot better than she was. She didn't quite understand how Kaiden appeared so calm; as if the Hollow's whispers weren't tearing at her mind and soul like they were with her.

"You're holding back," Klaus spoke calmly, raising an eyebrow at the mousy haired tribrid as she narrowed her eyes back at him. "You really think I wanna feel this way?" Hope snapped angrily, "no matter how hard I try, I don't feel any better," the eldest Mikaelson sighed in defeat, her voice turning small. "You're not the one I want to hurt," Hope admitted with a sigh causing Klaus to pull himself to his feet instantly.
