When Thea arrived in back in Mystic Falls a week or so later, the brunette was stunned to find out that whilst she had been gone the Scooby-Gang had managed to kill Cade and erase Hell. Or so they thought. Because according to a recently returned Kai Parker who the hybrid still hadn't had the pleasure of meeting, Katherine Pierce was back among the land of the living meaning Hell still existed.
"Alright professor, how do we get rid of the queen of hell?" Damon asked Alaric through the phone as he, Stefan, Bonnie, Caroline and Thea were gathered in the living room of the Salvatore Boarding House. "Are you sure Katherine's in our world?" Alaric's voice questioned through the speaker. The ex-vampire hunter was currently at the Armory with Dorian and Tyler as they searched through the books there to find something to help aid them in their plan to kill Katherine.
Bonnie sighed, "when Cade crossed planes after the 11th ring of the bell, other souls could step through too. Same way Kai did," the Bennett witch explained as Thea nodded her head. "Katherine would have jumped at the chance," the hybrid added, recalling the insane survival skills the doppelganger had.
"Then why haven't we seen her yet?" Caroline inquired, looking between each of the gathered people with a frown. "I thought by now she'd be strutting around, making demands, or trying to get us all killed," the blonde continued with a tone of annoyance causing Stefan to sigh. "Maybe she's biding her time," the younger Salvatore offered as Damon scowled.
"Or putting her own plan together," Damon suggested with a tone of annoyance as Alaric sighed through the speaker. "Either way, you're gonna need a new weapon," Dorian's voice sounded through the speaker causing Stefan to furrow his eyebrows slightly in confusion. "Is that Dorian?" the younger Salvatore asked with a hint of surprise in his tone.
"Yeah, I've asked Dorian to take point on our research front," Alaric informed. "This doesn't mean you and I are cool," the younger historian stated with firm anger, "I still have those files on you, so I'm here to hold you accountable for the rest of your God-given life," he warned with bitter anger. Stefan frowned sadly, looking towards the floor in guilt, "I hope that you do," the vampire replied sincerely.
Thea reached out, grabbing Bonnie's hand in her own as she saw the look of pain that washed over Bonnie's face. "So, what have you guys come up with?" Damon asked the two historians, wanting to know what sort of plan they had to defeat Katherine once and for all. "Cade was killed with a dagger that was made from his bones," Tyler's voice suddenly answered through the speaker.
